Is there a way to unsummon a pet while in combat? (Console)

I know you can swap to a bar without the pet skill, but if you have the pet on both bars you have to go into your menu and remove the actual skill itself, (something you can't do during combat for some mechanic reason πŸ™„)

Apparently PC players have the option to click on their pet in some way to disable it. Is there something similar on console? It's silly you have to open up your menu, go to your bar, remove abilities, then replace them just to disable an attack so you can sneak past something. Or just being stuck with it until it dies if you're not wanting it to attack a certain enemy.

Start -> Character, scroll down to Active Effects, hover over pet's icon, and then press Square/X.

On PC our mouse pointer is not visible as it controls the movement of our camera. We can release that, though we lose control of our character, which provides the mouse pointer so we can click on anything.

That is probably what they do to unsummon the pet in combat but I cannot attest to it working to unsummon a pet. But no one can replace any ability while in combat.

Start -> Character, scroll down to Active Effects, hover over pet's icon, and then press Square/X.

And this can be done in combat? Regardless, this is WAY better than unequipping a skill
