When killing bosses, you receive items first, that you haven't collected yet. If you bind a item, it will be added to your account (stickerbook) and you won't see the item as drop anymore, as long as other items from the same set aren't all collected yet.

to expand on this, curation applies to the current drop pool

for example you cannot get weapons from a delve boss, even if thats all your missing, but you can get weapons from WB or public dungeon bosses if your looking at overland

in dungeons, you only get a weapon drop from the final boss because its not in the drop pool of other bosses

other things are just flat out not curated (chests, daily quest coffers, leaderboard rewards, heist/sacrament rewards, etc) (this can make getting certain sets harder than others: trainee set, off-size hews bane set gear, jewelry in wrothgar, almost everything from pvp outside of the "overland" set drops in cyrodiil and IC monster set head pieces, etc)

they also expanded the "stickerbook" (still hate calling it that) so that if you get a perfected gear item drop, you also get the associated non-perfected gear drop if you were still missing it

That nobody is at 100% is very telling. To think ZoS back in the day wanted us to farm for years for the items.

I have most things from overworld and normal dungeons, and almost nothing from pvp and trials. But since I play to relax, I do not need to collect hard-content gear anyway, it's all good.

Console player here. Would a kind pc player with add-ons please post the number of set pieces in each of the sections and the overall total. I know I'm about 75-80% complete but it would nice to know how many I have left

i am not in game right now to give exact values for each section, but (until high isles releases) there are about 7200 (close estimate) total number of individual set items in the game (around 6100 items is ~79% since thats where im at)

high isles will be adding 3 more overland sets, 4 non-perfected trial sets, 4 perfected trial sets, and several mythics

No, certainly not, and not really actively trying to.

If the sets get filled, they get filled.

It's cool to have the achievements and all, but even with improved drop rates for what I don't have, doing the repetitive grinding in the same dungeons and whatnot isn't 'fun."

So, it will get done whenever it gets done.
