Companion ultimate fully charged just before logoff, but uncharged just after next logon

I logged in earlier today, and just before I logged out, my companion's ultimate was fully charged. After logging in again later today, I saw that my companion's ultimate was completely uncharged even though I'd never used it. NOTE: I *never* get this behaviour with my own ultimate, so unless companion ultimate is discharged by *design* after a logoff, something may be wrong.

Your companion probably went on his/her own adventure while you were logged out?

It's obvious. Your companion is cheating on you with another player. Get a divorce, hit the gym, delete facebook, go champ.

You can't expect them to just sit around and wait on you to log in can you? Your companion probably went on a walk somewhere and got ganked.

Companions also lose ult when you unsummon them, iirc. Logging off unsummons them just before you get sent back to the menu.

this has always happened, companion ult resets when they are unsummoned/resummoned, when you log off, and possibly even when you change zones

the companions built ult rather quickly, i think their base rate is slightly higher than a players and can be further sped up with gear with the right trait

I think their ulti resets even after (their own) death as well.

My character's state is preserved between logins, including the summoned state of the companion: if it's summoned before logout, it's summoned after login. My character's ultimate charge is also preserved, so in my opinion this should also apply to the companion's ultimate charge.

However, I agree the companion's ultimate charge builds up very quickly, so obviously the issue I pointed out isn't a major one. I just thought it worth mentioning.
