Mythic weapons?

I couldn't find a forum post already asking about this. Would there be any reason to add mythic weapons to the game? There's already master/arena weapons that pair with a specific skill. Is there any more unique effects that'd be worthwhile? Maybe some that aren't just direct buffs either.

An Idea for mythic weapons could be similar to arena weapons, but unlike arena weapons, mythic ones could alter the way some Ultimate Abilities could work. (Maybe even introduce some mythic weapons that play into Class Identity and have special effects that only work for a particular class to promote class diversity across all content, or even mythic weapons that make playing vampires and werewolves all the more fun to play and even make them viable for end-game content alongside the classes.)

As an added rule of thumb from other games, like many others, Players could have 1 mythic weapon and 1 mythic armor/jewellery piece together at one time.
If you see me anywhere. Know that I am sitting back with a bag of popcorn, watching as ESO burns the goodwill of its player base with practices that only disrespects the players time like it did to me and many others...

If a game does not respect your time, best thing to do is move on from it and find something else.

You could potentially add a different type of weapon without needing to put in over a hundred new models.

For example, you could add the Spear of Bitter Mercy or you could add a Mythic that let people effectively just use their fists.

There could be a lot of reasons to add a mythic weapon to the game. However, we have had multiple mythics added via multipole DLCs and chapters and they have been various armor and jewelry pieces. None have been a weapon and I think that has been deliberate. It would seem Zenimax wishes to keep the skill-altering weapons and mythics completely separate so they do not compete with each other. It is the only thing that makes sense and I think it is clear why Zenimax would go in that direction. There really is no need to have a mythic weapon as it does not really add anything to the game.

Just curious, why is competing with other sets a bad thing? I felt the whole purpose of mythics was to add some more variety to the niche. It commonly comes down to chosing between a mythic or a monster set. Or even a mythic and a 5-piece, making one turn to 3-piece instead. It lets you toss in some more diversity because one way may no longer be the absolute best way anymore.

Also what did you mean by this? What are the lot of reasons that some could be implemented, but not bring anything worthwhile?

Mythic weapons could absolutely be a thing. As it is we are running out of ability-altering options - the only ability left is for the weapon line ultimates.

And who said that tying a unique weapon to a discrete weapon ability was the pinnacle of these sets' designs in the first place? One could imagine a limitless number of unique mechanics that a Mythic weapon could implement that have nothing to do with current in-game abilities.

I do think that one untapped area for Mythics to tread is for deliberate synergy with aspects of individual classes. My main reference point is always Diablo II and that had heaps of sets that had class-specific application. Obviously, that locks out other classes from their use but if every class has the same number of class-specific options then that would hardly be a problem.

I could see this happening, but I doubt they would make them on the same level as VMA or Vateshran weapons. They have made it clear that those weapons can only be obtained by running content

If they were to introduce a mythic weapon that was better than an arena weapon, I could see them putting leads for it that only drop from the final bosses of VMA, vDSA, vet Vateshran, and vBRP, and maybe a fifth arena or something equally aggravating to obtain.
