Boss not Appearing in Ondil

This is the first time this has ever happened. While doing the mage guild initial quest (find four spell books) at Ondil the boss never appeared. He was shown on the minimap as a white skull and crossbones icon. With no boss to kill I was not credited with the completion award. Not a big deal, of course, just surprised.

Has this happened to anyone? Did the boss ever show up later?

A lot of players have reported delve bosses not appearing properly since Account Wide Achievements launched earlier this year.

There also is no award for completing the dungeon if you've already done it on another character, since that was tied to the achievement as well.

Great insight.

As the toon I am now running is the second for my account. The first one had completed the quest. Of course, non-quest dungeons still have their bosses to kill.

Quests have nothing to do with this behaviour. It's that previously a character who hadn't completed the delve before would make a delve boss spawn as soon as they entered the boss room. This no longer works if your account already has the achievement for the delve. Unfortunately the wait time for bosses to respawn feels endless.

Quests, however, are unrelated. It doesn't matter if any of your other characters has already done the quest. Any new character should be able to do all the same quests which had previously been done by a different character, no matter if it's a delve or a story quest.
