Maintenance for the week of April 6:

What I would change about the Mount Upgrade system which still promotes waiting to do it daily.

I believe that the system should be incremental, meaning that you can purchase all of them in a day if you want, but each time you'd buy an upgrade it would increase in price into a max of 2500 gold, So it would look something like this:
  1. 1st Consecutive Purchase: 250 Gold
  2. 2nd Consecutive Purchase: 500 Gold
  3. 3rd Consecutive Purchase: 750 Gold
  4. 4th Consecutive Purchase: 1000 Gold
  5. 5th Consecutive Purchase: 1500 Gold
  6. 6th Consecutive Purchase: 2000 Gold
  7. 7th Consecutive Purchase: 2500 Gold
  8. 8th Consecutive Purchase: 2500 Gold
  9. - Max price reached -

So theoretically, if you wanted to buy every single mount upgrade in a single day it would cost you like 448,500 Gold. OR you could wait 20 hours for it to reset back to 250 gold.

    I've suggested this several times.

I'd actually double each purchase and then each purchase take 1 day to decay so it doesn't just go back down to 250 the next day. You might purchase 1 month worth then have to wait a month to get back to 250, or as you farm more gold after a few days purchase a few more.

People that have been playing for awhile or work the Guild Stores could just buy all 180 days at once, but new players would still have to slowly level it but if get some extra gold for selling something, winning a raffle, whatever they could go dump some gold (which was it's original purpose) into their mount.

Uhm... if youre talking about zos losing the chance to sell you those riding lessons you can get in the crown store, brace yourself cause it just won't happen... they wont forfeit making money on something just to ease players life.

It's meant to simulate a gradual process of learning though.

Doing it this way would mean you have trained for 24 hours straight and have killed your mount.

yes please, honestly i wouldnt care if it scaled up to 10k per mount training if i could do it all at once

i flat out dont do mount upgrades because im not wasting time logging in every one of my toons everyday for 180 days

Don't worry we have spares in collections.

One change I would suggest to the OP is while the gold will reset to the 250 gold price after 24hrs if you try to buy more after already having reached the max price increase it auto jumps to the highest price if you decide to do further training that day.

I think it should work similar to the way bank and inventory space are handled, both have a gold option to fully max out the inventory space and a crown store option to do the same.

Its largely the same business model as the inventory and bank space being sold in the crown store, so they can't come back and say "oh no that will never work" when they are already using that kind of system for something else in the store.

I would love this mechanic to be implemented, like the bag upgrade, it gets pricier the higher the tier.

Yeah, you're CP 1600+, you're all decked out in the best gear and killing content, but everyone knows you're character is a greenie by the mere fact that your horse plods more than runs :D

As much as your suggestion is so good to have, having to log in daily to upgrade the mounts and research new traits are the 2 things that kept me getting back every single day. A connection was made.
