Lag is gone from NA pvp.
Congrats on buying new servers.
We did perhaps ask for this for many years.

What we need now is the player base back that was lost to bring back the glory days of ESO as a pvp destination.

The player cap should be able to be increased during prime time without trouble.
People today sat in queues for hours wanting to check out the new pvp but then the queues froze.

The hammer is still broken -caused sound and fps crashing.

We'd all like to return to ESO to pvp but you guys will need to fix that queue.

Don't increase anything unless you are sure that won't bring the lag in back again.

Let Zenimax have a look at why performance is better when they said it wouldn't help. Let them improve it further before starting to add compromises to something that we have wanted for years. Which is good performance. Zenimax has the opportunity to bring back the glory days of base eso PvP where we had insane fights. If they get this right and start focusing on PvP and promote it just like how smite is promoted then they will have a massive increase in player population. I have always said ESO PvP could of been the greatest PvP there ever was in a game but they have unfortunately neglected that. They have a chance now to finally do something amazing.

Lag is reduced, but not gone. I played 10 hours in GH today, still had a few issues with skills not firing and lag.... mostly at resources with NPCs around. Also had issues with gap closers in heavy traffic, positional desyncs. Was worst with werewolf Pounce. Might have to do with how they coded it to make you jump high in the air, like Crash Bandicoot. It wasn't much of an issue back when the jumps were more direct, like DK leap.
    RIP Bosmer Nation. 4/4/14 - 2/25/19.

Lag is absolutely not gone. 40 vs 40 faction stack keep battles are still very janky. Do not increase population.

Lag is not gone. Ball groups, zergs and keep fights cause sound to break as well, its not just the hammer. The more players around the more start rubberbanding. Skills at least seem to fire and they fire faster but hits don't get registered so same as before. People still use speedy LoS runaway meta hugging stairs and stones all day, so as long as nothing gets done there hitreg will stay the same. Skills like templar jabs, ult, beams etc. can not be used to full potential or even half of that because of it. Damage and dots without channeling are more reliable.

Me and my wife mained magplar for PvP and we play from EU. Unlike what others are saying our ping didn't change at all, it is exactly within the same range as before the hardware update regardless of high end rig and glass fiber connection. Playing templar as dps in Cyrodiil is still frustrating when nothing hits and even if some skills do hit, they don't kill even with full PvP dps sets like warmaiden, markyn etc. + it happens in every fight. Face to face fights rarely happen either making this class skills useful only if you 1vX in towers and play the LoS runaway meta, which we simply deny doing same as we deny chasing those players for hours. We roll a magdk now, whose most effective damage skills are instant cast and straight burst and see if it helps.

What I wanna say with this is, certain performance and gameplay problems persist that result in having countless build options being still very ineffective and unfun. Which means everyone who thought that less lag not just helps performance with skills firing etc. but also solves gameplay and class balance issues was wrong.

That's called a CYA statement. If they said there would be improvements and there was none, it would have been a massive PR nightmare. If they said there wouldn't be and there wasn't, well they told us there wouldn't be. They told us there probably wouldn't be and there was, that is a pleasant surprise from an outside perspective.

I agree we need higher population caps Queues are over 2hrs long on each side. I do like when they underpromise and overdeliver but the way they did it made them look incompetent. Had they said very modest improvements in performance instead of no performance increase whatsoever it would have sounded better.

As I've mentioned on a similar thread, I wouldn't increase the size of Grey Host. Doing so would be rough on people with crappy hardware and potentially threaten performance again. Instead, monitor Blackreach, and if that campaign regularly has a queue for every faction then add another CP-enabled + Alliance lock-disabled campaign. Currently Blackreach is 2/2/locked, so I don't think they should add another campaign unless even more players flood back over the next few weeks. Blackreach is also dead at night.
