STILL no option to hide 3D floating quest pins in this game? Really?

I haven't played this game in a while but thought I'd come back. Unfortunately it seems that Pinkiller doesn't work anymore (along with a bunch of other addons which are now outdated).

I used it to hide the 3D floating arrows pointing me exactly (to the precise pixel) where my quest target is. It's utterly ridiculous.

I'm in Summerset and just found some dead guy with a note saying he left his amulet nearby. And my godlike, immortal OP character (that's a different discussion), who is not only impossible to kill by any weapon or magic on all of Nirn, also has powers of omniscience and knows without searching exactly where this dead guy's amulet is, to the precise square inch.

There should be a vanilla option to remove this absurdity. Every time I come back to this game it feels like it was made for children, I just can't take it seriously.

Please give us options for dumb stuff like this. It is so unsatisfying to just chase after an arrow on my screen all the time.

Also please give us a difficulty tier for open world. After five minutes of just slicing through everything like butter I get so bored of this game. A hard mode server or something would be nice.

Ugh. This game is so huge and has so much potential but I just can't bring myself to play it. Nothing I do matters, I just always win no matter what.

Uh, OP, did you update the addons? Also just because addons are outdated doesn't necessarily mean they won't work any longer. Wykkyd's (or however it's spelled, I can never remember) Toolbar has been outdated for years, it's not even available on Minion now to download (or wasn't when I checked about eight months back or so), but it still works perfectly well for me.

Maybe I have a conflict then? I can't even find it in the option menu. I'll check again later I guess.

More than likely you're missing libs for it. Check your addon list in-game and click on that addon to expand it and see if its missing any.

I was just about to ask how this would affect gameplay and you pretty much answered it here, thanks =D

I'm going to give pinkiller a spin, but I get the feeling it will be more pain than it's worth when so many of ESO's "search for X" quest moments are designed entirely around the quest marker without providing any verbal information on where to look. Your character just magically knows where to look. Your addon solution looks awesome but still only shifts the issue elsewhere, since an NPC still hasn't given you instructions. It's still your character magically knowing information that was never provided. I guess we'll have to pretend the info was provided. At least your addon would make things fully playable. Modern game design sucks sometimes

Still, will definitely try your addon when that's out too! And I love the immersion list you linked to. I already use a bunch of those but had never heard of The Compendium! What an amazing addon!

At this point they should make it so you choose which quest line you are going to work on (main quest and zone) and turn off the other quest starters for all the other zones till you turn it back on.

It's annoying when entering a new city on a new toon you have the quest givers for every thing yelling at you and chasing you.

    It's still in the works.

Since it's a new addon and ESO has lots of quests...

The added Lore Friendly Directions get to be written by players who wish to leave their Creative Lore Friendly Directions in quests for the Elder Scrolls Online community to enjoy.

We will be adding Lore Friendly Directions for quests Zone by Zone in the Chronological order they have come out.

Immersive Quests AddOn has integrated capabilities for everyone who chooses to contribute with their Lore Friendly Directions by setting a key-bind to open a Pop-Up Menu. In it, they will be able to add the Lore Friendly Directions they deem appropriate for the player to solve the quest without the need for Waypoints and Way Markers.

So don't expect to play all the zones right away as of now we will be looking to get lots of help from the community to fill in all the quests.

I will make an official post once it's out.
