Crates will just be nothing but crown gems. I'll be happy when they start putting chromium plating in the rewards. This is the second month we've gotten gold crafting rewards for everything except jewelcrafting.

Seriously? At least wait until you open one to thank them, you will probably get 6 useless potions as usual that you convert to a few gems. It is like you are thanking a casino for the honor of walking up to the roulette table, which BTW, has better odds of winning than a crown crate.

I don't mind either way whether I get 8 useless items or several top-tier items. Two crates, minimum of 4 gems each gives 8 gems total and that's halfway to a 16 gem-tier reward, which is usually all the more that I want. Two twitch drop campaigns bring the total to 16. It's free crates, can't get too mad about crates that are handed to you for just being on. At the very least, it is good to see that they are listening to the community's requests for log-in crates

I've always hated the artificial and forced rarity of anything associated with jewelry crafting and I still do. It feels so contrived and shoehorned in. I mean if anything deserved special treatment it would have been weapon crafting. Jewelry's only claim to fame is that it was added after the other crafts.

Back in the day when they gave out three free Psijic crates I got the Psijic Guar, my boyfriend got the Psijic Horse, and three of our friends got the Psijic Wolf, Psijic Senche, and the Psijic Camel for free. /shrug

Note: I'm not saying everyone is guaranteed anything. I'm just saying you can sometimes get some really nice stuff out of a free crate.. which is nice.

The other monthly logins are very nice though. Gold, alliance points and purple drink and KFC are always appreciated

Yeah I got three apexes (psijic camel, hollowjack bear, wild hunt horse) back when they regularly did free crates. And frankly I'd be happy with 6 gems per crate because I don't support buying crates, with gold or crowns, so any amount of gems is great. And, on top of all of that, I'd rather them give a couple free crates per month than no crates at all.

I also received a mount (psijic senche) from one of those free crates. These are not ouroboros crates. These are the ones you get from the crown store.

Well its nice that they make login rewards better. Even if its only few gems its still better than all that food and poisons. Lets hope they wont stop at that.

This is generous, and I will give ZOS that. I am grateful that login rewards have gotten better in general. Last month we got a mount and houseguest, this month we get a tatoo and crates. I don't complain about the gold tempers either.

This is another nice month for login rewards. I had posted about asking them to change them, improve them or give us some choices. People scoffed at it like whatever trash we get is fine. But then we had the fiasco updates and they improved them quite a bit for that month. I think they are on a nice roll now. Very encouraging!

Even a few crown gems are a great login reward in my book, and the chance at something I'm interested in from the crates is fun too. I hope they keep doing this, first time since I started playing I get crates as a reward.

Well they did that already. The rewards used to be way better all the time, and they stopped it long ago. ZOS has reasons for everything, and they are probably using this to make up for some other part of the game that is failing (performance). But it will probably end like before, once they don't need to bribe customers with trinkets any longer to keep them around.

Yes, quite aware of that fact, and having bought many crown crates of every type over the years, they basically give gems, a bunch of useless stuff, and the occasional worthwhile trinket.

Not sure anyone said the game was dying, but judging by comments everywhere about High Isle, I am pretty sure it is not meeting their sales expectations, never mind the 2 weeks of unplayability from the last DLC, compounded by their sharding endeavor, and of course the all new low in overall performance, making some parts of the game neigh unplayable for many players. So they aren't really covering up anything either, since it has been right there is everyone's face, they are trying to make up for it in the best way they know how, free stuff.

I just hope their server replacements go well tonight and doesn't turn into another 2 week debacle. I also hope they are mistaken and it does actually help the performance issues as well, because the game sorely needs help in that area at the moment.

If numbers are down, add AwA to that list. I've only been on PTS, not on my live account due to figuring out what to do with it. I get my daily rewards on a level 3 junk toon with no achievements. However I am giving ZOS credit for better login rewards.
