Companion customization

I'd like to see more stuff added to the companion customization! I'd like them to be able to use skins, body and head markings like we use on our characters, HELMETS also. Personalities too! What do you guys think ?

But then how can we have a Clone Wars reenactment? ;)

I get that companions are supposed to be unique individuals with a given race, skills, personality, etc. But I'd love to see customization that does not conflict with that. There should be no reason a companion can't change their hairstyle, or decide to wear a circlet or helmet.

I would also like more ways to change up my companion. Helmets at the very least should be an option. Although I wouldn't mind being able to put on body, hairstyles, or facial markings. Even if the list was limited for each companion.

Not interested in putting awful skins and stuff on them, but we should be able to give them hats, helmets etc! It's rather dumb we can't because why wouldn't they protect their head with a helmet? Or wear a hat or hood as protection against the wind? Guess I just watch Mirri choke on ash as we walk through an ashstorm. Maybe that would make her quiet.

I don't understand the point of wanting to hide the companions' faces with a helmet. I think they are better off without it.

Would like hair styles, skinns and more costumization too.

If it will be possible to pet some monsters and use them as companions, as example fire atronachs - it can be really cool too.

By the way not battle pets can be more cool as companions too, or if it will be possible to use its skinns for such battle pets if they will some day be added.

As supplied Companions are an expression of the devs imagination. We, the players, get what we are given. Nothing more.

I would like players to have the option to use Companions as an expression of their own imagination, to turn them into someone, or something that better fits our own narratives. This is a role-playing game after all.

Let us put hats and helmets on them, skins and style items, so we can pretend they are someone else. A unique individual, not just one of the four people we see endlessly replicated across our game world.

Let us use polymorphs on Companions to give our character a combat pet that looks like a skeleton, a daedra, or a spriggan.

Allow us to silence the Companions' comments outside of the dialogue screens.

I think customization is fine but as AcadianPaladin said about helm and hair wouldn't hurt.

I'd rather see more flesh on the bones of the system itself. Give us more options on how to use them and their rapora. Let us send them out on "missions" and they will be on cooldown until they are done. (Pick survey, gather a world item, search for a lead, take care of a treasure map). And they could fail if they are not experienced.

exactly, the irony of not allowing us to hide their faces because they wanted us to feel a bond with them completely gets ruined when you see Bastian behind you, and by your side, and on the walls, and dead near the boss, and chasing another player all at the same time.

Because more options are nice? Because it creates less clones? Because it doesn't make any sense to not protect your head? I would prefer to protect Bastian's head from injuries if I could. A lot of hats, helmets and hoods doesn't even hide the face.

Console emote commands for companions would be nice too. Then my companion and I could both get out the lutes and reenact "El Mariachi" :)

We need to be able to put hats/helms on companions, and to change their hair.

I'd also love if we could use polymorphs on them, since having a goblin or skeleton companion follower would be the most awesome thing ever, even if they're really Mirri or Ember in disguise.
