2 man PVE arenas

What do you guys think about ZOS potentially adding 2 man arenas? Similar to vateshran with a more linear approach. I think it'd be a cool element to add to do with a single buddy.

Yea! I feel like I've gotten used to 2 manning lots of stuff especially since companions have come out with having them be tanks and then myself and another buddy both being dps. It's been a fun change of pace not having to wait in queues as much for sure and adds an extra challenge too. I think this would be a cool mode. 2v2 arenas for PvP would be fantastic as well!

I wouldn't be in favor of it. You can do 4team arenas with 2 character (or 2 character and companions). But 2team arenas would be restrictive in this way.

I think a 6 man arena would be much more interesting than a 2 man arena. It would provide the opportunity for more robust and creative mechanics.

As far as linear or non-linear, that is much less important than a well design arena and fights.

Duo arena is a great idea. Perfect for gaming couples. Also it's much easier to grab one buddy rather than spam Craglorn or guild for 3 or 11 specific roles. I'm sure it's possible to do vDSA or vBRP as a duo but I imagine that would be very clunky and time consuming on top of requiring rather specific setups. It's probably something people might try once for the accomplishment and never touch again, as opposed to a properly tuned duo arena.

Yes please! but this was asked before with no results.
its easy to find an available buddy even when its not prime time and u find urself ingame and have nothing to do.

i also think that it's better then a card game.👹

yes, that would be fun. tons easier to find one person than three to run something with. (if only there was something like an activity finder, that could help you start a group for 4-person arenas...)

I would love this so much. Compared to dungeons, it's so hard to group for 4-man arenas and they're quite long. A 2-man would be such a fun bonding experience and so easy to group for.

I think ESO is already a fantastic game to play as a duo. Questing and exploring with a friend is fun and engaging. Even a low level players who's not too familiar with the combat can finish most of the content with the help of a friend.

And companions lean into it, too! Providing you with healing, damage, or a tank to pull aggro away from you.

I think 2-man arenas would be a fantastic addition to ESO. There could be many interesting combinations and builds. Do you have one player as the dedicated healer? Do you have both players slot taunts so they can better control the enemies? Do you build specific sets that synergize with one another?

So you’re not interested in adding more arena options to the game because you can just 2 man a 4 man arena? Interesting! 🤔

While I think a 6 man arena would be fun as well I think the main point here is adding more content that requires smaller groups from a grouping up perspective. 6 man would be awesome too though and I hope they add interesting stuff like that at some point!

Compared to being one of four, that sounds like way too much pressure for me, not that I usually try to join groups, aside when I tag along in central Cyrodiil. Don’t group dungeons, if not Dragonstar Arena and Blackrose Prison, serve this function already? I suppose 2v2 PvP would be something new.

As I play often DSA alone try to do so with you friend, too. That quick you can have an arena in two.

Sure why not? I would like more arenas in general. I love solo arenas because the outcome depends on myself not group members doing their job. 4 player arenas are not my thing but they can be better than dungeons. A 2 player one would be interesting.

I think this would be a great option for players like my group, where there are times its just 2 of us online. Even if there were more, we could break off into groups of two if we wanted to farm that content.

Additionally, I think it would be cool to have arenas/mini-trials that are 6 man content. Sometimes we have the opposite problem, and we have a couple of players left out. It would be nice if there was another activity outside of undermanning normal trials or overland content when there are too many of us online for a dungeon.

I think it would be really cool to come up with build combos for such arenas, but as an aside, you can already 2-human group arenas (albeit with a lot more challenge involved).

Correct. You can do 4 man arenas and dungeons with 2 people as a challenge but I just mean implementing 2 man arenas that are specifically designated for 2 or even 3 people as some have suggested :-)

I do not think it is a point worth developing. There are better options.

Duo arenas are something Rich wants to do, but apparently there are technical issues that have prevented it from happening so far.
