Upgrading items makes them disappear

I upgraded two items of heavy armour to gold status yesterday, they were in my bank and not in my inventory.
I have plenty of Mats so it not like I was taking a change, it was 100% and I saw the items converted to gold, but when I check my bank and my inventory they had gone.
Anyone else come across this?

Quick questions to get a bit more info....I upgraded two items of heavy armour to gold status yesterday, they were in my bank

1. Do you recall exactly which type (which armor set) and which slot the 'heavy armour' was?
2. Assuming you're playing on PC, are you possibly using any 'game mods or add-ons' ?
3. Were you crafting at your own PRIVATE house Transmute Station? Or were you at public station in 'Clockwork City' ? (* this shouldn't matter, since i believe both versions are coded the same)

1. It was Heavy Armour 'Crest of Cyrodiil' it was two pieces of the armour not the weapons. from memory it was the chest and legs
2. I'm NA/PC, yes I have crafting addons, but have tried turning them off to see if they reappear (they didn't)
3. I was crafting at my private house0
