Well, it happened again. Lol

I headed for the nearest wayshrine to avoid spending gold to travel.

Once I arrived at the wayshrine I selected my destination on the map and off I went with a...

The sound of slapping gold pieces alerted me to the reality of what had happened. I had opened my map to confirm where I wanted to go, and forgot to select the wayshrine, thinking I'd already done so.

I thought that was funny, so I decided to share it.

Logging in on a specific toon to craft something, getting distracted, logging off and another one in only to realize in the first second right after that i forgot something. Happened way too many times.

During pvp event, when queueing for it is just a pain (i dont like pvp, but tickets are tickets - you usually get 2 from cyro, 1 from ic):

In my house and hit R to bring up the browse through furnishings...but dang...off goes my Ultimate skill!

If you fasttravel/teleport to a another wayshrine without using a wayshrine, will you get a loading screen immediately or will the same animation start that you see when teleporting into one of your houses (that blue magic/starconstellation thing)? Because you can interrupt the animation with a dodge roll to prevent being teleported (I do that regularly, realizing at the last moment that I've forgotten something...) - not sure if your gold would already be gone, though.

Yes, doing crafting writs and forget to do the crow quest is this even daily event.

And got the paid travel at wayshrine many times if you look at quest locations and stuff.
Its why its nice to own cheap apartments close to wayshrines.

And yes travel to an house will always count toward paid travel even if initial free. same with travel to player.

I did something similar in the bank of Solitude, not trying to browse through furnishings, but trying to interact with the banker and accidentally firing off my Soul Assault ultimate-- at the guard! He was not amused.

I've quite often done that myself in the bank with my templar. Hit the wrong button and before you know it solar prison has landed lol
