Question on using the Ignore list

I have played off and on since 2014 and never ignored anyone. Now, I desire to do so. My question is...if I ignore someone....can I still put put in random groups with them? Does ignore just prevent me from seeing their comments?

✭Yes, you still have a chance to end up in groups with them. From what I remember you will not see their comments in group but I could be wrong on that one.1
