New mini game seems like something you boot up once and never look at again. Its a bad version of Legends of Norrath.
No new class or skill lines.

Time to skip an expansion?

I think sets are more interesting/imaginative than they've been in a while (though they'll probably get adjusted before live and get nerfed after a few months), and the card game seems like a more complex system/mini game than antiquities--I'm not a fan of card games, but I think those that are will get a kick out of it. Still, I won't preorder because it's not like a digital good will run out

Don't really care about new sets.

Looking forward to two new companions and what seems to be a return to a more medieval fantasy feel they're hoping to achieve in the land of the Bretons.

Keeping an open mind on the card game until I play it some.

I pre-ordered and I can't wait for High Isle - green meadows filled with sunflowers, new furnishings, new companions, new sets and Bretons in Medieval times! It doesn't get any better than that

I will wait until it's on sale. The zone looks beautiful but the price is too high for what's in it.

One of them does - the one that stats-wise looks like a slightly better version of Mother's Sorrow but craftable in any weight.

The other one is just like Armor of the Traineee X 4. I'm sure it'll have its uses but people are already talking about it as a "filler set" where you craft 1 or 2 pieces just to fill in builds that don't use the standard 5-5-2 because there's a special weapon or mythic item in the build somewhere.

You can already use reconstituted pieces of Trainee for any slot you want to fill those slots in already in any armor weight so I'm not seeing anything all that great about that crafted set, I don't think many would give up all the things you'd have to give up to do a full 12 piece set except maybe for the novelty of equipping the first 12 piece set ever in the game.

I give that set 2.5 yawns.

I expect Zenimax knows that with every expansion some will buy in and some will not. I recall last year some players saying they would not buy the expansion then. This seems par for the course so I expect it is not a big deal or influencer for Zenimax or they would have abandoned this style of adding content already.

The most important parts of any chapter are the story and the trial. They are the marque portions and what both sell and keep players engaged.

High Isle will be fantastic, can't wait for the PTS coming up!

A new zone isn't enough to justify calling it an expansion. New zones just thin the population out and makes it feel more empty elsewhere.
Classes, race, skill line, 3rd morph options, pvp content... ANYTHING would be more exciting

Hard to properly judge a card game system from just what was shown on stream. Yeah, you get an idea of the basic mechanics and what type of card game it is. But most of it is in the cards. You could showcase the basic concepts and mechanics of Gwent, Magic, Hearthstone or even Slay the Spire in a short video. That still gives you no idea how balanced or satisfying card interactions are, even if you understand the basic gameplay loop.

I really liked a lot of the art, I have no idea how good it will be until I play it. I hope they had a dedicated team or outsourced it to people with experience in designing card games though. Bad card games get old in an hour.

As for the art style of High Isle itself, yeah... I had hoped for more knights, steel and impressive Breton architecture. And the whole intrigue at court / cloak and dagger theme is another thing that can really go either way. Badly, if full of cheesy tropes. Well, if done with a bit more creativity and layers.

I LOVE Bretons so I can't wait for the expansion. The card game? After seeing the gameplay on the show I doubt my ADD will let me sit still for that long.
