Lore of Seaveil Spire

Early in the First Era, a pious tribe of Nedes followed the Tower's guidance to an undersea anomaly, where they built a submerged sanctuary. Millennia later, the edifice and anomaly remain, providing a secure and wondrous escape from the surface world.

I cannot help but wonder if the Nereids were somehow connected to this in the early first era - especially since Nereids costumes and skins come alongside of this. And I wonder if the Nedes that followed the Towers Guidance to this undersea anomaly were the Nedes that built Shada's Tear and who were the Nedes that called upon the Nereids for aid from the invasion of the Yokudans. But then I wonder when visiting this place why there are so many etchings of Serpents. Were there Nedes that studied/venerated the constellation of the Serpent.

Because of the many etchings of serpents in Seaveil Spire as well as in Shada's Tear (both are very similar in their build/appearance) a character I play returned to Craglorn to see if she could find information on Nedes that could have followed the constellation/celestial of the Serpent and who might have constructed Shada's Tear and Seaveil Spire in that image. She came across one speaking of these ones.

    This is their banner:

how long they have been around though I am not sure.

and now... because of this song..

I wonder if Lamias are a form of Nereids..

Interesting posts. I'm not sure, but serpent motifs seem to feature significantly in a lot of their art/clothing. For example, all the nedic mages seem to use nordic-style staves (even after zos gave nedes their own suite of styles), which have a sort of serpentine aspect to them.

For me, the Nedic stuff ZOS has done might be the most meaningful stuff they've contributed to the lore. I'm looking forward to exploring their stuff soon and hope we get to see more in the future.

I had forgotten of this armor - thank you - this symbol too on the Duraki armour is shown on the stonework in both Seaveil Spire and Shada's Tear.

and then there is lore on the Duraki...:)

Yep. The Duraki seat of power seems to be Skywatch, and its no surprise we see the same motifs etched in relief throughout the various ruins here.
