Hi, sorry for my ignorance in the builds, but now all classes use the set relequen + the ma greatsword? (at least in the dps tests the greatsword).

Let me understand the game has hundreds of sets, and now magicka and stamina DDs use the same set, which by the way is not even a new set, congratulations ZOS :)

New DLCs and Trials every year and all players are using sets from 3 years ago, magicka, stamina and soon the tanks and healers too, what a fantasy ..

In my own option I’m loving hybrid builds. As a day one player it’s exiting to see possibilities that have not been the norm for so long. Lovin my magical dk duel wield 2 hand atm and I’m not being sarcastic.

What is used to create high numbers on trial dummies is not practical in the game's raiding environment; and especially not in 4-man trifecta content.

Most content creators are using extremely silly setups just to post 125-130k numbers in the thumbnail. Look closely at their low penetration numbers (as the dummy doesnt need normal pen), the odd food choices, the pre-buff manipulations, and how their ability/resource usage allows for no defensive utility (e.g. roll dodge).

Ive seen people post 110k parses and not break 30k in a trial. Rele and MA 2h is just the latest dummy parsing kit.

There are many different kind of bosses and fight mechanics throughout the game. The set you mentioned is good when you can constantly damage the boss and land your light attacks, but in some fights where bosses has many immune phases or where you can not damage it constantly this set is not optimal.

But yes this hybrid thing allowed some medium armor sets to shine more and in some cases reduced the number of optimal sets, and making everyone using the same thing. Well it is fine by me though. There will always be meta whatever you do since these sort of games are based on numbers.

Well, Relequen outperforms Bahsei on magcro and magsorc because Bahsei doesn't buff pet damage (Blastbones and Arcanist/Archer for Cro, Familiar, Tormentor and Atro for Sorc) and pets are huge part of their total DPS (easily 20-30%).
On the other hand both Necro (Rapid Rot - 15% dot dmg buff) and Sorc (Energized - 5% shock/physical dmg buff) passives buff Rele damage.

For Warden and DK Bahsei still outperforms Rele.

Also using Rele in real content is not that simple because:
    1. It doesn't work in encounters where you have adds and need heavy AOE damage, so it works nice only in typical parse fights like vSS Yolna.
    2. Using so many medium pieces means you're underpen (which is dps loss) so you need to bully your group members to use Alkosh/Crimson.

Who even cares any longer about 5k in a 120 - 125k DPS range? Right, nobody in their right mind with practicality.

Relequen may have the highest damage against bosses but it's highly situational and almost useless in mobile fights and againt multiple enemies. Like Tzogvin, Kinra and Yokeda it will lose viability when the boss is out of reach for some time as you would need to get stacks again after, having this several times in a single fight is a massive damage loss compared to flat damage increasing sets.

There's no such thing as "Best in slot for all situations in the entire game", everything depends on. Question is what's most useful for your kind of activities and situations without the need of switching gear all the time. An immovable object like a trial dummy will always give the best results for damage tests but that's far from reality most of the time.

Yes, but as stated, people do the maths, then do the dummy humping, then post the insanely high dps, then top raid leaders demand this for leaderboard etc & so it trickles down to other raid leaders with aspirations and before you know it, it a requisite for vAA training runs. 🤣

(Totally agree with post that a dps test number is not the whole story. Yes, shows can do an effective rotation, but its not the same as being in a trial where awareness of mechs etc plays a huge part in killing the boss. But then I just hate the ‘burn through the mechs’ attitude.)

When you learned the mechanics, played the mechanics and finally overcame the mechanics over time with knowledge and increasing power as you learned to play better i'm fine with "burning" in the end.

if you want to know what most people are using in end-game content to do well, look at ESO logs by class. Then you can see a better representation of what performs well with mechanics. Its not perfect, because a lot of people have not taken up the new hybrid meta; and if anything, that has shown that even using the old meta from last patch of destro/destro or dagger/destro, its competitive or equal due to ranged mechanics or group comp.

That being said, Relequen was almost always near equal to Siroria on magicka from the beginning, I think it tested maybe 5k short at times. And for most people, all they care about and therefore advertise in videos and the masses follow, is what is at the very very tip top.

    Oh so it finaly happens.

Light armor has penetration. But 1 tank alone can remove 11k armor if not 15k-18k more with alkosh

It was obvious light armor would be a bit less effective. Plus the bahsei nerfs.

You can play what you want , ZoS doesn't balance their content around patchwerk parses or meta humpers.

    There there, it'll be okay
