Change Double XP to be applied automatically during event

One of the main reasons I loved the explorers celebration was the fact the double XP was applied to everything without a memento!

Just log in and play, no need to track the 2hr buff and make sure you keep it up.

Am I the only one who would like to see all events that include double XP to just include it intrinsically?

No, please don't. I hate forced XP boosts. I like to level my characters slowly, and I cannot play any character I am leveling during events where we have automatic XP boosts.

@WithMyLaserGun I didn’t even think about that. Maybe an option to turn off event XP boosts by default or something. Guess it really isn’t possible to please everyone :D

Then it goes away when the event ends, some people like to refresh at the end and keep the buff well after the event is over either on break or casually logging in a few minutes a day where they can have weeks to months before the buff expires.

I agree with this. While I personally use the double XP all the time it needs to remain a choice so keeping the current design makes the most sense.

It would be nice if there was a little icon at the bottom of the screen to indicate how much time you have left on the buff, or even if it is just on. If you play for a long time you forget to reapply.

I used to hate the Witches Festival skeleton but it is a good reminder to reapply when it wears off.

Levels literally don't matter in this game outside of spent CP points.

Put your buff bar on in the settings, then you can see it and how long it has left, it even counts down the final minute for you, although you don't need to let it run down to reapply, unlike scrolls you can refresh this buff at any point

Except they do to me because I enjoy the levelling process. They may not matter in terms of power/ability to kill mobs but I am still entitled to my own play style.

Are you talking about all those little squares that keep shifting around when I am fighting? I can’t make any sense of that because they don’t stay in the same position and are too distracting.

On PC there are a bunch of options for what shows up and when. You can make the bars permanent and also make buffs show up somewhere there. Addons can let you do more like move them around and change their appearance, but the game even without addons lets you do quite a bit with them.

That option already exists; it's called "don't use the XP Boost memento."
Which means that these types of events are already set up to please everyone.
If you want the XP, do the very simple thing and use the memento (not an unreasonable task). If you don't want the boost, then don't use it.

Not everyone is on PC. I am not.
