We should not interact with our companions when they are behind us!

The second part of the dazzler quest is really annoying when Bastian gets right behind me and interrupts me using my dazzler or throwing petals. I should definitely only interact with them when I am looking at them.

Though one of them moved to be in the way when I turned during one of the holiday dailies earlier. Are they trying to help or interrupt?

There needs to be a set key for interacting with companions in general, and not one we use for anything else! Trying to loot a chest, a node, dig up a treasure chest, or even talk to a quest NPC, the frigging companion intercepts it every time. I literally have to run away, run back and open whatever I was trying to open before the companion gets back next to me. Super annoying.

"Can I help you?", yeah by getting out of the way so I can loot the dang chest thank you!

Mirri needs to stop RUNNING IN FRONT OF ME all the bloody time.

Bastian, bless him, keeps some distance, but for some reason, Mirri loves to stand all over whatever I'm doing. ZOS, I love the companions, they're great, honestly, but I am begging you to make them a wee less clingy in the next patch.

Mirri drives me insane. And the festival dazzler quest is the worst. She keeps getting in the damn way.
Please ZoS make the companions accessible via the menu!
I wouldn't use Mirri at all, except I want to fully level her. Then she's going away never to be seen again.

Yes, this was super annoying. The companions tend to excel at being the center of attention. I actually had to switch my XBox controller config to move Jump to another button because the default button is the "Activate nearest companion" button. It made it impossible to jump, and without that, movement in this game is crippled.

But would it REALLY be a TES game if your followers didn't run in front of you, or be anywhere that they're not supposed to be? It would be much accurate to a TES game if the companions not only ran in front of you, but also blocked your damage to an enemy in the process, and then stood around sweeping the floor of a cave while you fight off multiple enemies... I'm looking at you Serana!

I just turn on companions when they will get rapport/xp.
At all other times I turn them off just to avoid the interference. It can be super annoying.

You're missing the part when they stay at a door of a house and you get locked inside.

not sure about the dazzler thingy, but I still think companions should use context menu with companion wheel (press and hold start in xbox, instead of jump)

Its more true to life if they aren't in front of you. I have whole conversations at work without looking at the people I'm talking to.

For the ones that are on PC, this addon is a must have to prevent unwanted interaction with your companion.
    No Interact
You also can block torchbugs and butterflies :)

You may have work challenges if that is the primary focus of your job! People do like being looked at much of the time when interacting in person!

Though I get your point. I just don't want to interact with Bastian or Mirri when I am not looking at them, nor do I want them to jump in front of what I am trying to loot or who I am really trying to interact with, including riding trainers.

But I do want to interact with them at times, just not instead of something else.

True, I would like that too, but to toggle the option on and off with a simple keybind is the best solution for me at this time

That is how the PC addon works. I have a bind to toggle all of them on and off.
The addon is not perfect, but it is a lot better.

I think I use F7 to add them to the list, then F8 to toggle.
