Suggestion: Setting Weather and Time of Day in your house

I think this would be good for both practical or story-telling use. For example if you're trying to decorate a house but it's raining at night, you could clear the weather and set the time to morning to make it easier to see. If you wanted to create a spooky themed house, you could set the time to night and the weather to foggy.

I made a simple edit. It's not perfect but hopefully it can showcase my idea a bit better.

We’ve been asking for this for years. Also a way to toggle the sandstorms in the Thieves Oasis home. They block visibility when placing furniture, especially at night. Plus they blow sand through the solid walls of player built structures. Extremely annoying and immersion breaking.

I would love this option in the game.
Some houses just look better at night with the lightning in the gardens imo.

I would absolutely even pay a large one time gold cost for this.
I am tired of designing my "dark bosmer woods" and then having the stupid sun ruining it. :D
It would make houses far more unique if they had small, settable weather systems, as a basic setting, like OP has suggested.

Also, before anyone mentions it, Yes, there IS an add on that does this. However I played around with that and honestly, I was not impressed by the offerings. They were grainy, unrealistic and unimmersive for me. A simple in game setting would be far easier.

Our houses are considered their own instances, so there's no reason this couldn't happen, and I dont see how it could effect server load, when you're making our separate instance run on a revolving daytime/night. Would it not actually -save- performance just to have it set to the one setting all the time?
I am demanding better customer service from Zenimax Studios.
I am demanding better and more open communication between the devs & the playerbase.

I would love to get rid of the constant ash storm and the eruption sounds haunting the ebonheart chateau

Even the ESO Stream Team members who are into housing have been all but begging for this via their formal communication methods, to no avail. Baffling.

Or let me buy a house in Arkthzand Cavern; where the sun never shines and the light is beautiful.

It does make house decorating a lot easier in the sims when you can flip it to night or day in edit mode. It will also allow you to see if you have proper lighting placed around your home at night, if you happen to be building in the day time. Weather would be a neat edition.

I'd like my Grand Psijic Villia to be set to evening/night, so the lights outside can actually do something. A day/evening/night toggle would be pretty nice to have.

I'd throw in an option to change skyboxes as well, imagine having Doomchar Plateau show the Clockwork City mechanical sphere above you or High Hrothgar in the distance.

We all know that housing is THE endgame in ESO, we need this.

I am doing my best, but I am not a native speaker, sorry.

"Difficulty scaling is desperately needed. 9 years. 6 paid expansions. 24 DLCs. 40 game changing updates including A Realm Reborn-tier overhaul of the game including a permanent CP160 gear cap and ridiculous power creep thereafter. I'm sick and tired of hearing about Cadwell Silver&Gold as a "you think you do but you don't"-tier deflection to any criticism regarding the lack of overland difficulty in the game." - @AlexanderDeLarge

I would love this. I made a snowy Domus Phrasticus and it kind of ruins the effect when it rains. ;)

Also it looks way more magical at night! When my guild had a housing contest I could only hope people would visit after dark... if only I could set the time of day and weather to suit each house.

And of course the ability to toggle it back to match the game time/weather for when I'm in story/roleplaying mode :>

I think just disabling special weather when editing would be cool enough, it doesn't have to be like altering the game's weather, just to get some lighting on what exactly is going on.

Then again, I heard weather IS client sided, so it's not like it would really matter if it does alter the world or not

    This would be great!

Also it is very useful for editing.

I would also like to change the background music from the zone default, using other tracks from the game.

For editing only it would be very useful to disable gravity for our char, or to have a separate camera for editing. This is useful when building tall/large structures, or when trying to adjust details in a hard to reach spot.

An other wish of mine is to be able to move the spawn point when entering the house, and add teleporter portals to other places, especially because many "houses" are the size of delves or towns. This would also allow to build up or create secret places.
