What Are The Status Effect Chances Of Proc Sets?

I can't find this info anywhere. For a set like Shadow of the Red Mountain that hits one target with fire, I am looking to find out what are the chances this will proc burning.

Does anyone know?

Wondering if a charged weapon could be viable

That is a very good question. I think they do - but obv can't test right now. You've made me wonder. If they do I'd assume the % chance is going to be as for other stuff. Off the top of my head I think that's 10% from a single target direct attack, 5% from an aoe dd, 3% from a single target dot (each application) and 1% if and aoe dot. I can't see why it would be different. So logically somethign like shadow of red mountain would give you a 10% chance of proccing burning? Like I say though not sure. Easy to test they do once servers back up. Less easy to test % tho

I know for sure that procs provide status effects.

Just wondering is it follows the same logic as abilities in that a single target proc would have a 10% chance at base rate and 74% with a charged destruction staff.

I don´t know, and for obvious reasons can´t test atm, but:
Weapon enchantment's damage 20% base chance

Single-target direct attack ability 10% base chance

    Area-of-effect abilities 5 % base chance

    Single-target damage-over-time abilities 3% base chance

    Area-of-effect damage-over-time abilities 1% base chance

Destruction staff Light or Heavy attack 0% base chance

So judging by this, if you are sure that you get procs from sets, I would assume it is based on the type of proc; ie it would be different for a DoT proc compared to a direct damage proc.

Didn't they remove it from weapon enchantments last patch?

Enchants will no longer proc most set effects, but they will still proc status effects. Prior to U33 and probably still they have a very high base chance of triggering a status effect.

Test it on a target Dummy with combat metrics on.

You can do tests with charged and without. You'll see if burning proc'd and how much etc.

I do this a lot with my Magicka NB for PvP.

I dunno, have been gone a long time... but it says 20% in in-game help still, so... TBH I wouldn´t trust patch notes nor even ZOS employees, given their track record... if it is important, test it on dummy IMO.

Yeah, I thought rather than farm a set I don't have and find a dummy I don't own, I'd ask someone in the forum if they knew.

"Find out yourself" answers are super helpful, thx
