I have commented various times that this Earned By thing should go away all together and achievements should become player achievements not character achievements. I mean achievement should only store data about whether is it earned or not. It should not store earned by who data.

While i support this you absolutely will find people going berserk about it as they want to know which character(s) achieved it and they'd rather have all names listed.
Perhaps I am one such person who likes it when all achievements are obtained by one character. When I see that some achievements have been obtained by my other characters, I have no desire to play.

This is why we're stuck with this terrible "account wide" system in the first place. People saying "Oh, I can't play any other characters, because I might get an achievement on them. Please make achievements account-wide, so I can play something besides my main, and have all the achievements count together."
Meanwhile, the players who liked it to be separate, because they're character achievements, not player ones, now also "have no desire to play".
There's a lot of irreconcilable positions in this.

Agreed, that's a major defect of AWA: it really damages the role play aspect of the game, because characters end up with achievements completely irrelevant or wrong for that character type.
My main, first character I ever made at early release, was made to be a, to borrow concepts from a couple of other games, a totally lightside paragon so totally "good" that she'd glow golden. It is going to suck when she gets a Bestest Assassin Evah title because I have a nightblade I built for the dark brotherhood who was made to be a totally amoral anything for money sociopath killing unarmed npcs is fun type. Equally not incentive to play more is the thief stuff; on my built to be a thief stealthy any item left behind is actually part of the building character any titles or achievements for thief stuff is great; for my lightside paragon, not so much. Knowing that whichever alt I play will effect changes on the others, changes I might not want because I'm still playing a specific character with a backstory and character guidelines really doesn't make me want to play more.
My characters are built for what I wanted at the time. My main is really tanky and hard to kill, but she takes forever to solo a world boss because tanky, not damage. She isn't interchangeable with all the roles to "do it all", so it would be really hard if not impossible to use her for everything. But she'll end up with achievements I didn't want her to get, no matter who I use to play. It also sucks that she will be the only one who did some of the quests that can't be repeated. I have 18 characters on the one account, and she'll be the only one I could take through those stories. How is that supposed to "improve" my game?

Your main knows 49 motifs. Your alt knows 1. If you log into your alt first, then your main, you are on your main when 1 + 49 = 50. If you log into your main first, then your alt, you are on your alt when 1 + 49 = 50. The achievement is awarded on whatever character you were logged into when your accumulated progress puts you over the top.

“Earned by”, in this case, is a misnomer. The achievement was actually earned by your main, it was simply completed by your alt. I think that’s where the resistance comes in to play. The spurious tooltip serves as a constant reminder of the inequity of the method of implementation of AWA.
I'm not against new achievement system. It has both its advantages and disadvantages. But I am terribly annoyed by these inscriptions with nicknames of characters who have received achievements. Perhaps I am one such person who likes it when all achievements are obtained by one character. When I see that some achievements have been obtained by my other characters, I have no desire to play. I would like to see "order" in my achievements. Removing a character for me is a partial solution to problem. These achievements will also stand out from rest. I hope that it will be possible to overwrite such achievements or delete these inscriptions altogether. I apologize for my English.
Considering OP apologized for bad English, I'm going to assume they may not have meant "disgusting" but rather something like "frustrating". English can be weird with its synonyms and all. I can understand being irritated or bothered but any number of issues caused by AwA and the way it was implemented, but if OP DID mean "disgusting"...I would say that's a bit of an overreaction in regards to this particular aspect.

Ok. I get the impression that people are outdoing themselves in coming up with reasons why they don't like AWA. While I understand that problems that make it difficult to follow the progression or character development may be important to some, but the kind of problems the OP writes about are purely cosmetic [snip]
