I've been unhappy about a lot of things with the game lately, to the point that I've barely wanted to play, but credit where it's due: the new sword dancer emote is really, really lovely.
It wasn't even on my radar as something I might want, but now I'm obsessed with it. My only small regret is that it's not a personality instead of an emote, so that my characters could automatically go into it when idle.
Well done, team.

...but... I'm a bit disappointed that they made it so you can't block cast this one. If you try, it just makes your weapons vanish before you pull out the prop sword.
There was a huge uproar when they tried to take that away last time. I really wish they did let us keep our weapons out for this - or even let blocking replace the prop with our weapon. Sure, it'd look weird with a 1H weapon or a bow, but that would be an awesome thing for us to spin our staves or 2H weapons.
For PC players, there's the addon "Custom Idle Animations" which makes the characters use various emotes when idle. It would need updating, though, as this emote is a new one.I've been unhappy about a lot of things with the game lately, to the point that I've barely wanted to play, but credit where it's due: the new sword dancer emote is really, really lovely.

Does this (rather expensive) emote work with staves, or must you have a sword equipped to use it ?
I just think it's pushing it really hard to put an emote in the legendary category - I mean 100 gems is so much for an emote (or I guess for anything really) - we really have become blind to how expensive cosmetics are allowed to be.
