Do I send my friend money on steam to recover his $75 that is utterly useless or do I just ghost someone I've know for years now.
Are you being dramatic for effect or what? Obviously you shouldn’t ghost this person. I can’t say more on that without getting a corrective action.
If you feel so bad about it, cover the $75 and tell them sorry, but the game is still worth it once things settle down and get fixed. Tell them you’d still like to play with them in the future.
No not being dramatic m8. Just feel terribly bad telling them that the game has done a 180° change from where it was years ago, and I guess timing wasn't on anyone's side. I just feel really stupid
hmmm, as often as this game goes on sale, and with all the issues it's been having as of late, this would not be the ideal time to recommend ESO to anyone, let alone for full retail, surely you jest!
As muxh as I love this game, and I do, I stopped asking people to try it out, if you really feel bad, pay for half, and take him or her out to dinner/ or a pub
Didn't think of that thanks m8. I'd assume he wouldn't get a refund for the eso+ but hopefully steam will have some mercy for something that isn't their problem
Yeah this is a little over-dramatic here. I know what you're trying to do and I agree with you, but there are better ways. Besides, an actual friend would be understanding and would follow suggestions if a few days of downtime was a deal-breaker for them. I'd even go out on a limb and say a live service game like this might not be the best choice if a few days completely ruin any and all enjoyment of a game.
