What was the surprise maintenance for?

I am still experiencing random load screens in zones, when just walking through any zone, while trying to mount, I just run really quickly for a bit then the mount renders. When I go up to the quest givers, the are do not appear for a minute or two and the other players are just the un-rendered doll toon.
This is really disappointing.

    Confirmed that maintenance did NOTHING! Cannot enter instances and many open world zones have 5 mins + load screens. This is occurring for our entire group and many members in many guilds. ZoS needs to recertify their devs cause its clear no one knows what the heck is goin on!

    played fine for 3 hours, even completed 6 daily RnD's... logged out for breakfast, came back in 30 min (I guess I missed the maintenance?), queued for another RnD, found a group fairly quick and was greeted with a 3-4 minute load screen that eventually failed and logged me out with some "lobby" disconnect message.

    Logged back in, tried to re-queue, found a daily RnD group fairly quickly, logged into dungeon after a 30-60 second load screen, and watched one member who didn't zone in disconnect and drop from group... one of the other group members said some colorful things and logged off to play final fantasy... maybe this game is in the beginning stages of the death-throws with all these core system failures?
