Yeah game is a total mess right now. Was fine earlier today but now that it is prime time everything is falling apart.

Rule One for Server Tech: Have redundancies for all gear. With auto-failover.
Rule Two for Server Tech: Have backups. With auto-rollback for update failures.
Rule Three for Server Tech: When an issue arises, check hardware *first*. If hardware checks out, then start rolling back or uninstalling software/changes until it's sorted and back to normal, so that you know where the problem is.

Dear ZOS:
Please follow these three rules, in order. Especially since you are not following ANY of them.

But I mean, come on. It's like their entire server team quit just before update 33.

I'm getting flashbacks of New World, where they were constantly chasing their own tails.

I've got that thing in front of me right now. Looking at it with my rework scope, it looks totally fine. Eye openings on the bench test are perfect. I suspect some kind of coverup on ZOS's part. But then again, it is 4/1 and it's possible I'm full of [snip]

Now I'm shocked! Over seven years and 100's of posts, and I censor myself and I still get dinged for censorship - first time ever! I wonder if maybe it's not just the language but the faulty port topic that's sensitive? But then again, it's still 4/1, so I'll laugh it up "hah hah" as I continually timeout trying to log in!

Third week in a row my guild's Friday night activities fell apart because people couldn't get on, couldn't swap characters, or couldn't even zone.

ZOS, this is how you lose momentum, and that's how you lose long-term customers.

Problem is same time everyday. I'm thinking automated task that's scheduled to run at 0000 UTC (that's when the NA problems start). maybe reschedule the server backups to a non-peak time slot?

I have already stopped spending money in certain areas of this game, since I started playing again a little over a year ago it's been one problem after the next and after a while you just get tired of hearing all the excuses. Normally when you pay for stuff you kind of expect things to work in return. Granted I know nothing in the gaming industry can work perfect all the time but these last few months have been horrible and I feel like you get censored for even speaking about it. Lots of eggshells being cast in all directions. . .
