Remove auto de-stealth

When you're infight and use Shadow Cloak/ Disguise or potions to make yourself invisible and start manual stealth/ crouch it will automatically end stealthing at some point when you keep moving. I find his rather annoying as it leaves me plain open when my artificial invisibility ends and want it at least to be an option to toggle off.

Yes, i understand that it's there to prevent you from being slower than you could be (in general cases) but as i'm faster while being stealthed it's just irritating and not helpful at all. The only way to check if i'm still stealthing is to toggle crouch and have a look if my camera moves up or down, you can guess yourself that this isn't convenient.

I just wish cloaking would actually work and not randomly have you pop out for no discernable reason.

Why can't you play without cloak? IMO it was a huge mistake to put a skill like cloak in a PvP game in the first place. It's an unsportsmanlike ability to exist in PvP game.

Well if the game gives the ability to cloak, but also offers several counters, it can't really be considered unsportsmanlike. Perhaps Player vs. player has a broader definition than you seem to understand.

As to the original post, I agree strongly. I spent a lot of my materials to craft some speedy invisibility potions to help with exploration and avoid combat when I really didn't want to be engaging. I love that you can do this, it makes the game richer and means I don't always have to engage everything in a boring, linear grindfest.

What I don't love is when those expensive materials are wasted because 5 seconds after I pop that bad boy some mob just randomly detects me for no reason and the potion is useless, the mats wasted and I have to grind through crap anyway.

How is it unsportsmanlike? They use a different strategy to win their PvP fights. You just need to come prepared for that sort of fight to happen. Honestly, I feel like most Nightblades rely on being invisible to crit and kill you in one hit. But if you reveal them before they can hit you, they are very squishy and very easy to kill. So I just make certain to spam any ability that reveals enemies around me if I think I'm about to be jumped lol Literally one really amusing BG was when I spent a good majority of the time revealing NBs and killing them.

Cloak/stealth has existed in mmos for as long as I can remember and just because you don't like it does not make it unsportsmanlike.

There are several skills people dislike on all other classes, should they be considered the same and not exist?.

It's the same for PvE and PvP, the only difference is who you get jumped by.

Plus guards can sometimes attack you even while stealthed with Shield Charge or Fiery Grip when it's chained into their attack skill line before you hide but that's for another thread.

Used to be you just press your crouch button right before activating an ability and you'd end in stealth. That no longer works? I know it used to work with mist form and that now fully takes you out of crouch

You can perform some abilities without breaking stealth or getting into it while using them but that's not part of the problem.

Well, I could literally ask any other class very similar question... I mean... it is the entire point of having different classes in the game... so they would all have "their thing".
