Opinions on PS5 settings

FINALLY finally got a PS5. Currently downloading the PS5 version of ESO.

What settings are best for the game? Currently do not have a 4k, but I have a Vizio 1080p running on highest settings. In the console menu I have it on 1080p 60fps and set to performance. Just wondering what others have done so I can play around with it. TIA

Well, I think the only ps5 options are the fidelity or performance mode tho, don't think there's more settings to play around. For me the performance one beats the fidelity, you can change it in-game in Options>Video and then the very first option

I go performance - the 60fps is so much smoother. I set custom scaling but that is because I play on a 55" tv, and at regular size the menus etc are huge

You will absolutely want to use Performance mode.

Fidelity Mode: Caps you at 30FPS. Visuals are a native 4K.
Performance Mode: Caps you at 60 FPS. Visuals attempt to be as good as possible but scale down if the game can’t handle it.... this causes FPS drops in most content but it’s still far better than being capped at 30FPS.

In the past Performance Mode was also capped at 1080p which gave us a true 60FPS experience (virtually zero drops in FPS at all) but ZOS changed it 🤷‍♂️

Regardless you will have a much better experience on PS5.

I prefer fidelity, game look so good!
I didnt mind the fps on ps4, i certainly wont mind it on ps5

I also now can play cyro with mostly no lag
Mayhem was so fun, reading the chat in a major battle where lot lf people complained about lag in chat while being ok really made me happy of my purchase

Congrats in getting the ps4, I think you'll be shocked at how much better the game runs on the new consoles.
