Odd silence after vampire 'feed' action

Hi. Thanks for patching the patch, seems to be running better now. 
Ever since U33 there seems to be this weird stretch of silence at the moment of attacking and immediately following when you 'feed' attack an NPC as a vampire.
My friend noticed it immediately after the big update last Monday. I noticed it last night after using it for the first time since the update. I was in The Reach. He says it happens consistently, doesn't matter which zone.
It's really odd. Everything grows quiet for about 10 seconds. Usually you'd have the attack music, ambient sounds, etc. Everything gets muffled.
