Hey All. We just posted another update here.

Whew. Seems like your average day in Cyrodiil to me. *shrugs*
In all seriousness though - they announced that today they were rolling out the cold storage and sharding database systems. I'm guessing they are not playing well with last week's patch, which was already pretty rough (to put it nicely). And this also explains why it's not affect EU since this was only for PCNA today.
I have to admit that I've been *really* concerned for the QA process used by this game ever since the patch that brought back proc sets to Cyrodiil. It became blatantly clear at that point that they are severely lacking in both automated and manual testing processes and it isn't just for game-play systems. There also doesn't seem to be much effort put into the UI/UX testing or considerations either (something I spend a lot of time doing myself). I get that this is all difficult stuff and issues happen even with the best of teams and software but I'm absolutely sure that the teams are NOT being given the time and resources needed to properly build, test, and maintain what they are creating and the crows are coming home all it once.

long load screens
inability to logout
forget trying to do mail, guild history or a trader
account already logged in that won't go away
guilds not recognized
friends lists gone
etc, etc, etc...
Maybe they need to step back, forget the release schedule and do what is necessary to fix these issues. I'm not sure what's going on at ZOS, but with the haphazard and buggy manner that AwA was released and now these problems with basic game functions, you have to wonder how bad their staffing issues have become.
