Doing a public Dungeon with a new character dont give a point for Group event boss ?

So i did several public group today thinking that beside the skyshard already done, i could get some point from the group event boss. I was surprised to receive nothing.

Does that mean that the character targeted *alt* by the new system will not receive the same number of points that the one who did it previoulsy ante AWA patch ? Is there another way to get more points than the skyshards and group dungeons (GF or not) ? -

Anyone knows ?

I think that's a bug, I thought the stuff that gave skill points was still supposed to be character specific

Did a public dungeon yesterday, and the group event still gave a skillpoint as usual. But I 100% knew this character had never been there before.

You probably did it on a character who already did have that skillpoint. As you said you already had the skyshard as well, so this seems very likely. Public dungeon progress is hard/impossible to track right now, as all public dungeon bosses already count as completed on alts(AwA). Delves and world bosses have the same issue.

When I looked on an alt who hasn't done any public dungeon group events yet, the achievements for the group events weren't marked as completed yet; those achievements are listed in bluish letters. But I haven't tried to do a group event on those alts yet to see what happens.

You still get the skill point on alts. Public dungeon group event achievement is still character specific (marked with an icon and blue letters as already said above).

I just tested on one of my characters.

I already have 15 characters that got the skill point from this. 16th character had no trouble getting her skill point.

If it wouldn't give a point it would be a bug. Every character needs to be able to collect the same amount of skillpoints.

Except any character created before the first expansion will always be 1 short

I'm doing one public dungeon a day on one of my alts to provide them all with some more skill points. Each of them gave the skill point it was supposed to. The other bosses are all marked as done, but the group event worked correctly in all cases.

thank you all. I will go on and see what happening from now. I will go do one outside of Tamriel, and see if I am bugged. Perhaps my memory is bugged (meaning i perhaps did those at the very earlier levels, 10 or so and forgot).

Though a little question, her name does not appear in the achiev list for those dungeons. Normal ? I have 5 names showing but not that the character i am playing now.

I am sorry but i guess i did not understood how this works now.

- i entered Bewan, first time. I had even the quest inside this delve. No achievement from today but tell me i did it in 2021 when i did not existed. And whatever i do now, does not add points to achievements.

Is this really how it will work ? Everything i will do now does not count at all, i am just a puppet walking around and stealing what my other characters did in 2020 and 2021 ?

Its really hard to enjoy that

If i decide to delete every characters on my account, and i create a new one, what will be of the old achievements ? lost ? if yes then i will just delete all my characters, as hard as it can be.

What I'm seeing on my alts is that the public dungeon group events are listed in blue, apparently whether those characters did the group events or not.

However, if a given character did a given group event, it has a date below the achievement points to show when it was earned.

If a given character has not done a given group event, there is no date shown below the achievement points.

I have one alt who's done some group events but not others, so I'll use him as a research subject later to see what happens.

I've gotten multiple skill points from public dungeon group events since the update, even though I'd completed those on other characters previously. I think this is probably working correctly for most people. But it's certainly much easier to confuse yourself about what things you have and haven't done before.
