This is why nobody wants to play ESO right now

Queue times are abysmal for Battlegrounds, only games you can get are boring solo games where everyone just plays super tanky and has over performing cross healing.
We can't even get on the same team in random solos, every game we all end up on different teams. It's just a major bore that premade queues are 30+ minutes for a game nowadays. So congratulations ZoS on releasing a boring, dull and yet another disappointing update. An MMO where you can barely play with your friends...

If you play ESO only for the PvP. Maybe you should rethink your game choice.

ESO PvP is mainly a sandbox you wait in for new content to release.

Reason why I'm not playing currently is the lag on every action, trying to do writs right now and I swear there is an additional 1 second on every button press.

Lets be real here guys, the entire group finding system needs major work across the board, it's incredibly dysfunctional. This queue times are extremely poor compared to the rival mmos on the market. Game modes in BGs for example are so horribly designed that games are over in minutes, you spend more time waiting for BGs than actually playing them.

All these problems with the poorly designed group finder results in just one of many reasons not to play this decaying MMO. ZoS needs to really do better, 2022 is not the year for you guys to sleep on this game yet again. You're reputation is already bleak & questionable.

Exactly, we don't play ESO to play it day in day out!
We play ESO to buy a Chapter or DLC, finish the quests and log out until the next one!

I used to like it too, but there's only so many low budget updates that will keep me and my friends engaged. Someone needs to crack the whip at ZoS, these updates and the condition of the game just simply way below standards.

Lots of reasons not to play eso or other indoor games: sun's coming out (in northern hemisphere), covid restrictions are easing and it's time to be busy building diy shelters for the impending ww3 apocalypse.

When it gets darker In the evening I check out other games and eso pts; still can't bear to log into u33 eso live.

steam has 15k + - players the past 24h. during a xp event.
this ignoring the ones that are NO steam.

final fantasy has 25k and there isn't a event there atm , this ignoring the NO steam players

Long queue times are always annoying, but fairly certain they are not evidence that "nobody wants to play ESO right now."

Solo queue has been pretty good, imho… Lots of healing, yes, but not to the point where it’s discouraged me from getting in matches. Never used the group queue and probably never will.

I think the fifteen self appointed arbitrators of ESO are quite amusing at times....I guess they just ignore the metric ton of players that are usually on.

Not that many players play PVP because PVP in ESO never took off...asking TES players to play PVP is like asking Halo players to play a choose my own adventure game.

I could care less about Battlegrounds as my focus is more on Imperial City and Cyrodiil.

However, my lack of drive to play ESO right now is the current issues plaguing it, the decisions by the devs, and the abyssal loading times when changing zones.

Feel like I'm just logging in to get my endeavors and dailies done then leaving. Not even enjoying myself anymore and it feels like a job.

I know I don't particularly want to play BGs on console until objective modes come back.

It is true a lot of end game PVP players are moving on to other games , and the two reasons are server performance and a lack of major new content.

I think if ZOS gets the server up to date and stable , much of the players will return, seeing it as a positive signal to the community.

I would love new exciting ideas for PVP, but I definitely want the servers FIXED first. Performance is key. But yes, right after that is content so this new content can actually be enjoyed.

I think people actually want to play ESO , but they can't lol. Cuz the server is old and outdated mess.

Posting this will obviously bring out the white knights who love every time a game system fails. Because they play in their corner of the game that far less affected by some systems most other players rely on, they believe it's all perfect and rosy.

Breaking the queue system is nothing new.... which is why you'd think ZoS would STOP BREAKING IT!

What makes me not want to play the game is the abysmal balancing that ZoS does with the classes. It's so irritating that there are some obvious overperforming abilities and skills and their idea of "balance" is to introduce a set that will make those skill overperform EVEN MORE! Took them 3-4 years to balance magsorcs... it's been what two years for templars, and now DK was buffed to high hell... who knows how long that'll take.

Things were balanced maybe twice that I've known? Around One Tamriel and Elsweyr I believe were the only times I saw actual diversity in classes and builds. High DPS numbers required high skill ceilings... but too many people complained so they took all the difficult classes that were performing maybe 5-10% higher than other classes and threw them in the trash to appease low skill players.

Constantly broken systems and a balance that is NEVER tuned.... this game is trying to push players away.

All the new quests are the same DULL questlines that we've done hundreds of times; just in a new environment for $60.00. Want to make a quests interesting, have it affect the world and characters that are already in place.

ESO is getting dunked on by people leaving to join other games, fast becoming the laughing stock of the MMO sphere for sure.

This. Ill fear an enemy and by the time the fear is over, only then can I now ifinally get an attack off. Takes at least three attempts to get any ability to trigger. Forget consistently weapon swapping. Gap closes that don't work. Defensive skills that require timing and quick reaction. Just dead for a mele stam build. Been playing since release and this is the absolute worst performance right now.

ESO is getting dunked on by players upset by a myriad of reasons. Most recent one, long wait times and login problems, or load screens, or changing zones is the newest. So is the current implementation of AwA that managed to upset a diversity of players with different play styles except ones that don't care about immersion, role play, lore, goals for more than one alt, accessible maps, and a game world that makes sense.
