A huge problem in pvp is that vamp has once again become the thing you do just for a passive (the damage reduction at stage 3) and only RPers take it anymore to actually be a vampire.

edit: they should reduce the damage reduction in pvp by half with battle spirit IMO

As a Templar I agree Living Dark is over-performing, alongside its heal interval being half a second which is far too frequent. Personally I would halve its healing output and increase the interval to 1.5 seconds, potentially adjusting its duration. Other than that the class doesn't seem like it has changed much since the Scalebreaker Patches.

The hybridization changes in my mind have brought a focus to how potent healing can be when combined with Champion Point passives and Restoration staff passives such as Restoration Expert & Restoration Master. Rapid Regeneration is also a major culprit in over-performing healing (As well as being able to stack it).

The sustain of the Dragon knight with it's changes have likely made it stronger than it was intended to be, Talons is hitting especially hard, changing those sustain passives might be a portion of the key to reigning in Dragon knight damage output.

Of note is also the potency of certain equipment sets like Dark Convergence when paired with a necromancer, as well as the rather high general mitigation the class possesses; personally I don't know what exactly would help align necromancer in terms of balance, at times it can appear incredibly weak, but it has combinations that are devastating to the point of oppressiveness.

Overall healing of certain abilities/passives needs to be adjusted; I don't agree with some of the ideas I've seen of shifting healing potency to maximum resources as that just shifts the problem without addressing the underlying systems (Champion Point passives, Restoration Staff passives, some class passives) contributing to the over-performance of healing.

I do agree in part that the current spell damage scaling on Living Dark is somewhat high. Since in comparison, Living Dark scales very badly with resistance, giving way worse healing values on tanks. I saw differences in way more than 100% compared to spell damage stacking, so something is weird.

However, since Living Dark is meant to be a defensive skill on pressure, stretching the trigger interval would ruin its unique use scenario. And if a longer hit interval would be added, then the overall duration would have to be extended. Because otherwise, Living Dark turns into a major resource drain for little reason. Where then even "Regeneration" from the Restoration Staff line could outperform Living Dark (healing every 1 second versus your suggested 1,5 seconds, which still requires a hit to trigger). Since in the end, Living Dark is situational: There is no healing if you don't get hit. There is also no healing if you get damaged by environmental and area-of-affect damage (as the skill states "direct damage"). This needs to be absolutely considered when thinking of such big skill changes.

PvP'ers are so bigoted when it comes to being a Vampire in PvE, the only things they know are attacking and defending. There's so much more and with the recent changes you can make new builds that are fun to play. Sadly they'll hardly ever know them in their blood-and-gore-bubble.
