Maybe they finally decided to retcon the lore to match when they took the Bosmer stealth away three years ago. No more unstealthy Bosmer pretending to be smooth and sneaky. Herky jerky and clumsy is perfect for the modified lore.

I've got two female Wood Elves that now run like Altmer -- they run like they've sat on a broomstick and can't get it out.

A number of things bug me about models in this game. I trained in equestrian dressage for 12 years and have a pretty good understanding of horse physiology. It's profoundly obvious ESO's horse artists are clueless. A second item is running characters -- I ran middle distance in high school and college, and I studied human physiology in the context of stride rather extensively. Again, it's clear ESO's artists have not.

maybe read a bug report once in a while? this was reported on PTS and still went LIVE?

As of this point I don't think that they've fixed anything that they broke with update 33. Heck, they haven't even acknowledged many of the problems.

Yeah I haven't seen any fixes yet. I hate to play with any Bosmer character right now. Avoid it at all costs if possible. I am also one of those that can't use any browser now except Firefox because of update 33. ESO will close the browser and log you in and out of stored accounts. Opera, Brave and Chrome are just a few browsers with issues. There are programs effected by this as well that won't run now. NO game should have that kind of access and it's crickets on the issue and yest bug reports and tickets have been filed by many. The reload screens make it impossible to play in several zones now. Ugh.............

Yes, it seems like more things are being broken than things being fixed since Update 33. A rather ominous trend.

At first it didn't bother me but the more I was on my female bosmer the more I was seeing the issues being reported here. I been mainly on my Bretons and khajit due to this nonsense now. Heck, this is the most I've played on my altmer to think of. 😂

Maybe you could also look into the bug where my Bosmer's stam recovery gets permanently stuck at Zero while fighting in Cyro, since that actually affects game play and has been an issue for years?

I'm really hoping they fix this I just made my new bosmer girl barely a month ago, and have not been able to play her at all due to this issue.

AWA was bad enough, but it seems the absence of her personal achievements has caused some sort of age regression, because she looks like she's running in a diaper >_>

The zoom to first person when the camera hits a surface has to get fixed. Is really annoying and disorientating when fighting.

Last night I decided that the anniversary event would be a good time to get back into this game. I made a new Bosmer warden and immediately noticed the weird run animation. At first I was worried that this was a permanent change, but then I found this thread and realized it's a bug. But now I'm worried because it was first reported nearly a month ago and hasn't been fixed yet. Well, looks like I'm playing a Dunmer, at least for the time being.

How do bugs like this even happen? So weird.

No it doesn't, because duchess has no unique running or sprint animation.

I guess the "rogue" personality would hide it... too bad I hate that animation.
(Can't remember the personality name, I think it came with the TG or DB, it's like a sideways run.)

It's not just Bosmer. All my characters recently have been running funny.

Assassin personality, and yes it does. Assassin, Thief, Jester and Swashbuckler has different run animation so they hide it. I think Heroic has one too, but it looks like the bugged run but with the arms even worse!

I tried this and it's true, using duchess works but my bosmer character are not a good fit for that personality sadly.

I don't own dutchess so sadly this is not a fix for me

I really hope they do something about this soon, I don't understand why it's been left like this.

Bit sad this hasn't been fixed yet (I know there have been more pressing probs and everything.)

Can't face playing my sort-of-main Bosmer girlie, who is head of my alt gang, because she looks so...uncomfy still.

Yeah...I really hope this gets fixed soon. I recall this happening a few years ago, so this is an old bug, but perhaps a new issue that caused it. And, if there are problems with animations on other races, then perhaps the issue is more widespread and harder to fix if it affects more than just one sex of one race. The only one I've noticed is the female Bosmer because it's fairly obvious.

I posted a bug report on this almost instantaneously with the release of Ascending Tide. Not sure why it seems to be so low on the patch priorities because it really is off-putting and I would have thought it easy to restore the previous animation code. Gina's acknowledgement is pretty old at this point, so I posted another bug report after the last patch and linked this forum page.

This was funny! And so true. I haven't played since this bug was introduced since I only have the Bosmer character. Can't wait till they get it fixed.
