Current Patch Impact

Some are hard impact due directly to the patch, some are soft impact not directly related to the patch:
  • Getting into random dungeons is nigh impossible as of this AM (even as a tank)
  • Tracking shards is a complete mess now
  • Lost 3K dps after patch
  • I'm seeing lag for the first time ever in areas (hits don't register, selling in guild stores stalls, etc...)

Not sure how this is quality of life...some of this will even out after the "thrill" of the new content wears off, others I can workaround (2nd PC with a shard map sure)....still...this has not been a good update so far.

What does that even mean? Did you read the patch notes? Did you adjust anything?

Did you seriously just hit a target skeleton get 100k DPS last patch then hit it again this patch, get 97k and declare "well this is *** how dare ZOS nerf dps like this?"

I would really suggest reading the changes, understand how they will impact your build and playstyle and come up with new ideas, new skill bar allocations, that would help increase your DPS.

All skills now dynamically scale so if you want to increase your DPS you could consider using the best of both worlds,
You could try the 2H Stampede skill which pairs with the Maelstrom 2H to replace your blockade?
You could try deadly cloak over one of your dots for instance, maybe that helps increase your DPS?
You could maybe consider running different morphs of your class skills to get the most DPS from them? If you're a warden maybe try the stamina morph of Shalks. Maybe try the other morph of Burning Embers if you're on DK.

Whatever you do don't just refuse to change anything, get slightly lower DPS and declare that your DPS has gone down. Adjust, think about how you can alter your build to get the most from it. Be proactive and understand what you can do to help yourself rather than giving up.

    Yes.

As a "what exactly did this patch do" test, that's exactly what I did. Now....will I adjust and make changes? Sure will...have lots to look at (appreciate your suggestions by the way). But this is indeed an impact of the patch, none the less.

I don't think you can say after 1 parse that dps has gone down. Do 10 parses and compare the average of them to the average of 10 parses from the previous patch. Then you can say in a fairer way what the effect of the current patch is on the dps.

Actually I can :) That plus several guild members stating the same...yes....my dps has gone down ;)

Once you adjust for the skill changes, you will likely find your damage has gone up.

I get what you're saying. When you run a proper build that makes sense, dps is lower this patch. When you embrace this sloppy, inelegant new forced hybridization, dps goes up. I'm not enjoying this either.

My dps with last patch build is pretty much unchanged. (but sustain is slightly better thanks to cost reduction of elemental weapon)

Updated 2 skills in that build and dps went up by ~4k. This is a magsorc.

Not just tracking shards is a mess. All my dungeon, Delve, Worldboss and so on Icons went back to black as uncompleted today. Interestingly yesterday they were still fine.

Did you get an unexpected prompt to select your server by any chance?

The lag makes it super enjoyable game. Worst part is lag isn't consistent.

Bar swaps you don't know when it will fail

    Some clicks don't register

I have more sympathy for cydrolli people now

It's quality of life, just not in the right direction. Instead of improving it, it added more suck.

Honestly bout 4 years into my time in Cyrodiil on base ps4 I stopped even noticing lag.
