Hi all ,

Quick question.
Regardless of passives from certain races .

Not talking about the enchant proccing but the status effect of flame and shock

Flame is a dot for 4 seconds
Shock gives one hit + concussed

If i am not mistaken

I want to know what the difference is on average between the initial hit of shock and the 2 dot hits from burning.

Can anyone tell me how they compare ? Just the status effect extra hit damage ?

I know it will probably scale of spell dmg and magicka , however how big is the fifference between first shock dmg and the 2 dot ticks of flame?

Tthx

Glyph damage scales based on quality of glyph, not character stats. Although percentage based increases, like Minor Berserk buff or some champion points, can increase the damage. And infused trait on weapon, too. Flame glyph is always more damage, by quite a lot. Flame is always the go-to for raw damage. The concussed status effect can lead to Minor Vulnerability (8% extra damage taken), but there are so many ways to get Minor Vulnerability that if you are doing DPS, it is not worth it. The tank or healer will almost always be providing it in some way. For raw damage, flame staff on both bars, with Wall of Elements skill on back bar and weapon/spell damage glyph on back bar, and flame glyph on front bar, is usually the way to go. Flame Wall of Elements does extra damage to burning enemies, too. Yet another instance where the burning status from flame glyph is better for raw damage.
