Blockade of Frost what is does it do?

There is no any description also I dont see anyone use, what is realy it do?
I am using it for some days but really I cannot see what is it do!
Is it just a beutiful anymation just to configure how to skip !? for fun?

Basically a good anti-ranged ability because the damage shield only absorbs projectiles. Good for tanking to due to the brittle chance, light CC, and ability to back bar it for using it to proc Crusher.

It is not just a beautiful animation, as the responses have shown, but it is also that!
I'm a big fan of it using it in BGs, and making everyone around me wear little, spinning, ice-shield tutus the rest of the time.
