Improve quest reward armor and weapons -> Style pages!

How about making pve overland quest rewards relevant for folks? Most of these rewards are entirely useless, being set-less, and even those from sets are generally just overland sets that, at best, will populate stickerbook. How about, instead, have these useless but well-intentioned pieces be replaced by equivalent style pages?

I think this would be motifs, rather than style pages. This seems to be what most zones drop in terms of weapons / armour at the moment. Either way, this would tank a very lucrative market.

That said, I personally don't mind quest rewards as they are now. I was very happy as a new player when I got Materre's Bodkin and the Argonian Muck Minder. Some quests also have rewards including mementos, non-combat pets and costumes.

Because overland is focussed at new players who probably want the gear ?

There are a load of styles that drop from PvE overland already through things like the Dragonhold reward chest, dwemer pages in dwarven locations, bosses, daily quests, scrying and treasure maps, Cadwell's silver, etc.

If you want styles farm the right things and loot all the urns and the like.

I liked how in South Elswyer, you can farm up an outfit style by completing certain quests (Topal Corsair). They should do that in each new zone in addition to the new motifs that dailies give.

Having different items drop from doing different activity is what provides some incentive to try content we otherwise might not try.

The bad thing would be that those who already completed the quest could never get those rewards.

I never use outfits, so style pages are worthless to me. I am perfectly happy with getting a piece of gear I can use, decon for mats, and maybe fill out a slot in my sticker book.
