Bosses flashing and disappearing

Seems almost every dungeon ive run in the last few weeks,bosses despawn or fade in and out. Anyone else have this problem? Its not a tether issue.

    I have seen this in various dungeons but not all of them.

    Seems (to me) particularly egregious in Falkreath Hold with Cernunnon and in Fang Lair with the Cadaverous Menagerie.

    Either way this has been happening for a while... threads about it pop in from time to time, but I have never seen it acknowledged as a bug so it must be a feature.

    I've seen it occasionally happen in trials, haven't noticed any specific trigger that makes it happen

    I saw bosses in Imperial City do this during the event, it’s not just dungeons.

    The Bretons in High Isle invented the Transporter.

    That means those great huge crystals in Ayleid ruins were ... dilithium.

    I suspect the issue only happens when you're missing people in the vicinity of the pull.

    I think what happens is the encounter begins with a person unable to be reached/pathed to by the boss you pull, therefore causing it to blink/reset. The person targetted is still the faraway person and so it might blink until they reach a destination which the encounters finds acceptable.

    I dont think that can be the case. In the Collossus fight in Falkreath Hold it happens after the boss is taken from 100-50%. The boss despawns and the minis spawn. Everyone is in the circle, they have to be or they would be dead. There are no obsticles that would prevent LOS or pathing.

    Its not much different in the Menagerie in vFL either. Its an empty room, though that one does happen at the beginning of the fight.

    Volenfell is IMO the worst offender because it happens on the final boss. If it resets after you have clicked the scroll it reverts back and you can miss the 2nd key and crystals if you engage before clicking the scroll again.

    i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (fully filled out with current game), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them

    Not just in dungeons. I've had entire areas where the NPCs all disappeared. You can see a prompt to interact with them, but can't do anything. Has mainly happened in Thieves Dens or inside buildings.

    I only recall this recently in White Gold Tower with the three humanoid bosses.

    I was tank and taunted one immediately as the combat started, then they all flashed out and respawned a few feet from their original location and nobody was taunted. Had to reapply.

    I've had it happen with generic NPCs. One minute they are there and then they aren't. I don't think its lag since I've had aggroed ones disappear before I could get to them.

    Triplets in vHOF, the whole player group is in the room, happens there a lot.

    Fang lair, the boss fight with a bunch of skeletal animals. Happens a lot there as well.

    Ive seen it quite a bit. Particularly in darkshade caverns for some reason, right at the first boss. I don' tthink it's a distance thing. I just assumed it was a new "feature." Disco bosses or soemthing...

    Happened to me today in Arx, first boss. Also saw this in HoF with Positrox and Negatrix as well as with the Triplet, and a couple of other occasions/dungeons. Seems to be a general thing...

    Mobs flashing in and out of existence is a server lag issue on ZOS's end, been happening in Cyrodiil forever. Just one more performance issue creeping it's way into PVE due to a complete lack of upgrades on the games infrastructure for 8 years straight.

    There seems to be a difference between guards flashing in and out in Cyrodiil (but not resetting) and PvE trial/dungeon bosses aggroing, vanishing, and resetting. In my experience, the guards can flash out of existence and then come back an instant later in the middle of whatever it is they were doing - for example, still chasing the same person, applying the same attack, etc. In trial situations, the worst offenders for me being the chickens and triplets in HoF and the minibosses in Cloudrest when done before Z'Maja, the bosses begin to pull, vanish for a few seconds (not just an instant), and then reappear in their original locations completely reset, as if the encounter had never started. (Volenfell confirms the game behaves as if the encounter had never been started as well, since the HM scroll has to be used again.)

    If the bosses were simply to vanish for an instant like the guards, the encounter would still keep going. That is not what happens in these pulls that reset, though.

    Had it happen in Falkreith on skeleton boss and Fang Lair at the menagerie consistently. Not summoning the Betty netch (warden skill) and maybe the bear stops it happening. Definitely a bug that needs fixing.
