I haven't received a single piece of "Black Dragon Clan Armor Style" or Black Drake body and face markings rom this event until today... nothing but trifles and a few hundred Tel Var

I opened 12x3 crates and nothing... not a single coin or tattoo. Fortunately there are tickets to buy the ones I need. The problem was already there at the "Witches' Festival" event, none. I only got two at the Indomitable event...

I'm going to be told that it doesn't happen every time, that it's random, but in my case it's not at all...

Yeah, well, the City Bosses didn't bring me back a single one even if I have less than the quests... I don't count the Bruma quests at a rate of 5 per day, which have only brought me a few trifles and nothing of what is announced in their superb list mis à part un ou deux camps d'alliance ou géodes de transmutation...

I'm already very disappointed by the new chapter (which I didn't pre-order). This is the last straw. My subscription expires in April and I know what I have to do, a trip to Amazon and what they offer...

Would I be cursed...

I have opened in excess of 400 boxes this event. I don't know how much the 'excess' is, because I didn't think I had to count. Only after the fifth day of actively engaging with the event I hadn't seen a single one is when I started counting.

No runeboxes found, had to buy them with tickets.

I did get a couple of pages from the IC bosses though; I killed every single one of them at least once - for the achievement. That was easy to track. How many I actually killed I don't know. Many. Almost as many as times I got ganked. Hopefully next Mayhem they will move the drops away from IC bosses to IDK, Cyro town quest rewards or something. Anything but IC.

Either way stingy doesn't even come close.

The fact that picking resource nodes in Cyro was the most gratifying part of the event, closely followed by repairing walls, says it all.

Ic bosses had a pretty decent chance of getting you the black drake collectible. It probably had something like 10-15% drop rate. With a good group you could clear 10-15 bosses an hour pretty consistently.

I didn't get a single motif all event despite playing every day in Cyro and IC until Saturday when I one of the groups I was with started dropping all of the wandering bosses for hours on end and then I got most of them. RNG really sucks but you can redeem event tickets for your missing motifs.

I got all Black Drake Clanwrap pieces (and some duplicates to sell) after 2 evenings of Molag farm so no issue here, drop rates were fine, I saw people in group getting them (and Legion Zero Vigiles) left and right.
Drop rates of head/body markings from coffers were so garbage that I decided to buy them with tickets tho.

I was fortunate to get the face and body markings in a reward coffer on one server, very early in the event-- the second day, I think. But I ended up buying them with tickets on the other server. It was a choice between buying with tickets or gold, and I thought the gold prices were too high for my tastes.

On both servers I was fortunate to get one or more of the Black Drake Clanwrap style pages, and I bought most of the others with tickets, and the remaining ones with gold. I thought the go,d prices on the style pages were also too high, but I shopped around until I could find some that were within the budget I'd set myself.

Yep, made enough AP to go from 45-47, so somewhere between 6-7 mil. Didnt get squat from any of the boxes.

It's the latest of their attempts to add multiple layers to pricing. Event time is limited, drop rates are low, so you can either A. Convert cash to crowns to tickets and then buy from the vendor. Or B. Convert cash to crowns to gold and then buy from players.

As long as that convert cash to crowns is in there, ZOS is happy.

I play the event games for tickets to get the pets and morphs, but that is where I stop. No style page looks that good, and I only care about skins I need to earn.

I didn't receive one piece during the entire event. I put it to the fact I won't set foot in IC.

RNG has always been bad, but it does seem to be getting worse!

I got a few pieces doing that farm. Once more than twelve players showed up that kind of ended. Didn't matter though there was some good PvP happening in the middle and I was there for that. Getting a few drops from the boss was a bonus. We had a pug group of eight that as it turned out was really efficient at the PvP part so we controlled the middle for quite a while. When word went out in zone chat we had a good hold as was keeping the other factions at bay a lot more players showed up.

I hope some of them got what they wanted and decide to play PvP outside the event. Imperial City is a blast during these events and I keep hoping for a change or two to make Imperial City fun again more often.

I did help kill a lot of bosses in Imperial City and only got two of the motifs to drop. Goofy thing is the same one dropped but it was a chest piece and those sell well so still good.

I got like 3 of the pieces of Black Drake from farming the bosses. I really didn't enjoy my time in IC, so I used tickets to get everything else with the exception of the eye tats which I bought off a player for 80k.

I didn't get any drops from the boxes.

The drop rate was too low this year on the boxes. I think the walking district bosses had an okay drop rate. It wasn't high but it wasn't get nothing all event low like the boxes.

I'm blaming the fact they expect to run this event multiple times a year now.

The only reason im not TOO upset that I did not get a single drop of the tattoos is that they probably will turn up in the two ticket grab bag in the next event. Which I bought a ton of this event, and got things that also refused to drop for me in previous events. But still, the drop rate was ridiculous. For both the tattoos and the motifs. I spent quite a few hours killing bosses in IC and I got two legion motifs and ONE Black Drake motif. Which should not happen. If you want to reward and tempt people into doing content... then you should ya know... actually reward them.

The gankers I had to deal with this time reinforced my disgust for it. Hide things behind PvP and reward those who just ruin the experience for others. Yeah, that is a method to make players happy, right?

I didn’t do a lot of farming, but after only 2 Legion Zero pages (which I already have all of them) I decided it wasn’t worth it. I didn’t see others farming when I was on either, except for the first few days.

I went to buy the two Black Drake style pages I could not get from the Impresario from guild traders last night, and the prices were generally 100-200k each. I guess I’ll just do without.

It sure seems like since Microsoft took over that all drop rates have taken a sharp nose dive from the already low rates they previously had. I am finding little reason to go looking for anything much anymore.

Overall this was the least enjoyable PvP event I have participated in, for various reasons.

For what it's worth Just about every night in PC-NA there was a boss group farming Molag ball in the sewers.

I did this several nights for about an hour each night and I got about 30 style pages a dozen scamp pets and the soul shriven skin.

I didnt get ganked a single time and made some free tel var and gold at the same time.

The Molag event has 4 mini bosses plus Molag, all have a chance to drop the style pages.

Maybe this will help people at the next mayhem event.

meh. someone was getting drops. they weren't terribly spendy to grab off guild traders.

I didn't think on that, I was 'Cyroing' during the night and I did a few Molags during the day, but the 'farming groups' (as in player farming) made the experience fairly unpleasant.

I mean I don't regret doing 'Cyro nights', there were some nice AP gains and I wasn't desynced as often even during quite enjoyable and lively sieges, but maybe I could do a handful of 'IC nights' too.

Next Mayhem I might go no-CP/no-proc though, I had about enough of procs now.

Actually yeah I have gone thru around 200 boxes so far and not one motif page, although have seen other styles. Just not the event styles.

I dunno what's up but fortunately I don't really care about this one so

Same here, I got 7+mil AP during the event, and opened hundreds of boxes, and I didn't get the face/body marking, so I bought them with tickets from the Impressario. The article on the website stated that the markings dropped in Pelinal's boxes, so I guess the drop rate must have been extremely low. Can someone confirm they got the markings from the boxes, maybe they forgot to add them

I had no problem getting style page drops at all. Like most things in the game the more effort you put in the more rewards you get out.

I visited IC every day and farmed district bosses for 1-2 hrs. If the farming group was efficient, we could kill a district boss roughly every 2 minutes. I estimate that I would be getting roughly 10 pages per day so that would equate roughly to about 10% -20% drop rate - (big margin because the sample size is very small). I got so many pages that I earned well over 5 million gold selling the duplicates via a guild trader.

RNG is fickle. There were times where I would get page drops from three boss kills in a row and other times where I would have dry spells and get nothing for 20 minutes.

I was also very surprised to get a Soul Shriven Skin Runebox from Molag Bal when we farmed Barathrum Centrata one day instead of the district bosses because the districts were overrun with enemy players.

Sorry you didn't have a good experience, but for all the people in the groups I was involved with during the event my experience was typical.

With regards to the boon boxes, I opened so many per day I have no idea how many. Maybe about 25-50? I never got the body or head markings so those I had to buy with event tickets. So, for me, the drop rate for those was abysmal.

They were likely counting on PvE players becoming frustrated with being in an environment that a lot of them feel uncomfortable in and not receiving what they were hoping for. Resulting in more of them turning to the crown store to remedy that.

I base this on the fact that the only place to farm the pieces of the outfit is in the one area where youre more likely to end up in a PvP confrontation or to actually be ganked. IC. As someone that PvPs. This is concerning to me. Using players fears and frustrations with something that is already losing players due to issues and lack of care by the company as a means to cash in just seems extra slimy to me.

Regarding Stuga, you have to choose the dialogue option that says "If you love someone, set them free."

I got two style pages (hat and shoulders I think) from city horrors, but I only fought a few of them. I bought the markings and the chest piece, and spent the rest of my tickets on the past item grab bags.

I forgot to mention that Saturday afternoon I took my new toon to the IC sewer center to get a Molag Bal event on the main CP campaign and there was not a single player there. Not just no players in my faction, but no players whatsoever. All the portals were up, the NPCs just standing there doing nothing. It was a strange sight.

I stuck around for a while but saw no one else, so I just turned around and headed back to the sewer base.

I got about 3.5m AP during Mayhem & I've opened all the boxes except about 20 still sitting in mail. I got the face & body marking... no style pages.

Nope I'm not I just know about percentages and probabilities. I'm viewing this from a math perspective. I'm not excusing any body or letting any one "off the hook". I don't really care that much tbh. Some people will get what they want in one run, some in 10, others in a 100. That's how rng works which is why its pretty unpopular in mmos these days. The frustration is understandable. In terms of cash grabs and stuff I don't know anything about all that

And what math are you using? If you want to analyze RNG, you need to know something about the loot pool and drop rates. Here, we dont have any idea what the drop rate is, that is the whole point. On virtually every other scenario where RNG is a factor, we have a pretty darn good idea what the drop rate is.

If the drop rate on the skin was 1 in a million from a reward box, sure, someone would get it on the first try, some in 10, some in 2 million. The same is true if its 1 out of a 100 or 1 out of 1000. Considering we have no idea what the drop rate is, and the fact that its also available for a limited time for cash, I dont think Cash Grab is much of a stretch.

Even before curated drops, we knew the odds for the vast majority of items in game. We can certainly say that statistically, you got an item ahead of schedule or behind, but in this scenario, we are flying blind and there is a cash solution.
