Creating characters from the character creation takes almost hours for some people like myself to fulfill. I see my characters as yet another piece of art (Yes I'm a digital photographer) and I would like to have a feature in-game that allows me to save the template for my created characters for when I either create a brand new one... or use a token to modify my current character appearance.

I agree. I used the heck out of that Race Menu .json setup in Skyrim - it's so much faster even when you want to tweak a look; start with the template then change ears, eyes, body style, etc.

I agree also. My 'alts' are actually the exact same character as my main except for class. Same race and identical appearance. My approach to the game is that she gets up in the morning and decides which class/spec to play as casually as she changes hairstyles or costumes. I've gotten very very good at recreating her from practice but having a template I could save would be quite welcome.

I support this idea so I don't have to maintain versioned folders containing many screenshots of character creation sliders.

@SkaraMinoc - I do that too. Mine are usually by character name, and I have LOTS....

So I'm not the only one that does this. Good to know!

I'm glad you posted that, until then I was struggling to understand what purpose this would serve.

How my characters look is important to me too and I can spend a long time in the character creator, but they're all different people and I don't want them to look the same so I couldn't understand what purpose a template would serve. It never occurred to me that some people want all their characters to look the same.

The combination of the randomise option and the triangle for body shapes is usually enough for me. I pick the things I know I want (which could be anything, it depends on the character) then hit randomise and/or play with the slider in the triangle menu until it's close to what I want, then go through and make small adjustments with all the sliders. But since the end result I'm aiming for each time is different I don't think saving what I've used previously would be any more useful to me than the random options.

I'm not against the idea, if it would be useful for some people I think it should be offered, but it's not something I can see myself using.

I ended up taking screenshots of the character creator screen of the character I want to save, crop and merge the photos of the settings together on one 8.5x11 sheet in Photoshop... then going back and counting the number of spaces for the setting... then back to Photoshop to add the number into the image. Whenever I create a new character, I print that image so I can quickly set up my new character. I normally only use Imperial or Breton races, so I only have two files. However, I have always wanted not only the ability to SAVE a character preset, but also save my game settings too. How is this still not a thing; being able to save your game settings across your account?!?

Ah yes, the Folder of Character Slider Screenshots, I have one of those myself. Being able to save a template would be nice, not only for making tweaks or whatever but also in case you need to log off without having the time to finish your character.
    Character List [RP and PvE]:
Stands-Against-Death: Argonian Magplar Healer - Crafter
Krisiel: Redguard Stamsorc DPS - Literally crazy Werewolf, no like legit insane. She nuts
Kiju Veran: Khajiit Stamblade DPS - Ex-Fighters Guild Suthay who likes to punch things, nicknamed Tinykat
Niralae Elsinal: Altmer Stamsorc DPS - Young Altmer with way too much Magicka
Sarah Lacroix: Breton Magsorc DPS - Fledgling Vampire who drinks too much water
Slondor: Nord Tankblade - TESified verson of Slenderman
Marius Vastino: Imperial <insert role here> - Sarah's apathetic sire who likes to monologue
Delthor Rellenar: Dunmer Magknight DPS - Sarah's ex who's a certified psychopath
Lirawyn Calatare: Altmer Magplar Healer - Traveling performer and bard who's 101% vanilla bean
Gondryn Beldeau: Breton Tankplar - Sarah's Mages Guild mentor and certified badass old person
Gwendolyn Jenelle: Breton Magplar Healer - Friendly healer with a coffee addiction
Soliril Larethian- Altmer Magblade DPS - Blind alchemist who uses animals to see and brews plagues in his spare time
Tevril Rallenar: Dunmer Stamcro DPS - Delthor's "special" younger brother who raises small animals as friends
Celeroth Calatare: Bosmer <insert role here> - Shapeshifting Bosmer with enough sass to fill Valenwood

    PC - NA - EP - CP1000+

That one does annoy me. But on PC it's possible to use addons to do it. I use one called Synced Account Settings and there's a few others too.

Between that and Binder (which saves keybindings) it was really nice but also a bit weird how quickly I was able to get going on my newest character. I'm used to standing in a prison cell working my way through menus for a while before actually doing anything and this time I could start playing almost immediately.
