What is going on with this Zombie Walking?

I go to harvest a node...character bends down....and then takes off walking in a direction like a Zombie. Does this happen to anyone else or is it just me. It is very frustrating. My character actually walked of a cliff!!

Is your character hunched over? My characters end up in an odd hunched over position after heavy attacks. Weapon swap fixes the problem. Never happened while harvesting though.

No my character is not hunched over. This occurs when he is harvesting or sometimes just stops...and then will start walking off in a direction like a zombie....is it so strange but was opening a chest...it opened and he started to walk off...and someone else almost got the chest. Very frustrating to be honest.

Lol I think we need a video Sounds like your toon is old and has some back problems maybe?

Joking aside I have never seen anything like that. Maybe you should try capturing that if you can, on PC some gpus have software that will snapshot X previous minutes of game play for you where you set X. Nvidia for sure does.

Thanks dvonpm...it is really kind of funny to be honest and not a game breaker by any means but it sure is annoying...lol Not sure what is causing it. I am xbox NA so no addons.

I experience this quite frequently on PS4 NA server. It is rage inducing.

Things like this used to happen to me all the time before I switched ISPs. I especially loved when I'd harvest an ore vein and my toon would still be swinging the pickaxe around long after I've walked away. I don't think it necessarily had to do with internet speed but ping, rather.

Almost sounds like your controller is starting to fail. Not sure how you'd test that though... and it's possible I'm misunderstanding what you're describing.

I saw you mention you're on XB, is it stick drift maybe? Sounds like your controller may be getting worn out.
If the setting is there try adjusting the dead zone on the stick you use to move with to see if that helps.

I'm on PC NA so use KB\M but I have had issues with stick drift in other games on PS4 that I had to adjust. Or buy a new controller ha.

Tenthirty2...thanks for your response because I was kind of thinking the same thing. I will try my son's control tonight and see if that makes a difference. If that's it...i can close this crazy thread....thanks again.

Tenthirty2...that stopped it. Used my sons control and it stopped. My control is very old and that was what it was. Eos Kevin...you can close this thread...thanks everyone....Jim
