I enjoy Housing in ESO and wish there were more interactable furnishings to provide new functionality to our homes. Here are some ideas:
Scrying Table
What is it:
• An interactive furnishing which allows the player to scry leads for any zone.
How to Acquire:
• Purchasable at the Solitude achievement vendor for 50,000 Gold.
Achievements required:
• Leads Master Investigator (150 leads obtained).
Calligraphy Desk
What is it:
• An interactive furnishing which allows the player to write their own book. This process consumes a “Book, Plain” furnishing in order to create a furnishing called “Book, (player chosen name)”. These books are placeable anywhere in your home.
How to Acquire:
• Purchasable from any “Mystic”-class NPC vendor.
• Calligraphy Desk costs 25,000 Gold.
• Book, Plain costs 1,000 Gold.
Achievements required:
• A new chain of three achievements are added to the game under Character > General. This Has Words On It?, Library Frequenter, and Bookworm. These require the player to read 10/100/1000 bookshelves.
• Book, Plain - This Has Words On It? (Read from 10 bookshelves)
• Calligraphy Desk - Bookworm (Read from 1000 bookshelves)
Painting Easel
What is it:
• An interactive furnishing which allows the player to paint their own picture. This process consumes a “Painting, Plain” furnishing in order to create a furnishing called “Painting, (player chosen name)”.
• These paintings are placeable anywhere in your home AND can be sold to other players since they are unbound. This could turn painting into an actual in-game profession to make gold if you’re good!
How to Acquire:
• Purchasable from the Summerset achievement vendor.
• Painting Easel costs 10,000 Gold.
• Painting, Plain Small costs 1,000 Gold.
• Painting, Plain Medium costs 1,000 Gold.
• Painting, Plain Large costs 1,000 Gold.
• Painting, Plain Huge costs 1,000 Gold.
Achievements required:
• Complete the quest “The Perils of Art” in Summerset.
Planter
What is it:
• An interactive dirt mound furnishing which allows the player to place a “Seed, (ingredient name)” furnishing into the Planter. This seed represents an alchemy ingredient which normally grows out in the world as a harvestable node. Does not include rare mats like Crimson Nirnroot.
• The Planter automatically grows after 12 hours and can be harvested granting 1 alchemy material. There is no cap on the amount of Planters or Seeds which can be placed in a home, but there is a cap on the amount of times the player can loot Planters per day, which resets at the same time most things do (such as daily quests).
• Maximum loot opportunities per day: 20
How to Acquire:
• Purchasable from any “Alchemist”-class NPC vendor.
• Planter costs 1,000 Gold.
• Seeds costs 100 Gold.
Achievements required:
• Botanist (Learn every non-DLC alchemy trait).
Teleportation
What is it:
• A Dwemer Displacer can be linked to another Dwemer Displacer. Interacting with these items will cause you to teleport from one to the other.
• A Dwemer Receiver is similar to a Displacer. The difference is that the Receiver can only receive.... it is does not allow you to interact with it to teleport back.
• A Void Portal is an interactive furnishing which allows the player to click from a distance to port to it, just like throughout the Markarth main quest.
How to Acquire:
• Dwemer Displacer and Dwemer Receiver are purchasable from any “Global Achievement Vendor”-class NPC vendor.
• Void Portal is purchasable from the Markarth achievement vendor.
Achievements required:
• Dwemer Displacer and Receiver - Halls of Fabrication Vanquisher (Vet Halls of Fabrication Hard Mode complete)
• Void Portal - Savior of the Reach (Complete delves, quests, etc in The Reach)
Anyway just some ideas
