It really is ridiculous that these things drop so rarely. I've been playing since closed beta and the main character I craft on, do dailies on, do general questing and generally get my achievements on, only has the Dwemer one complete. There are certain ones that I'm not even halfway toward completing.

Yep, I imagine it's the only one out of the whole lot that most people have, and as OP said, with these being counted as ""common"" Dyes, it makes no sense that the trophies are so rare. I've been debating going to places where a bunch of mobs for each trophy I need are and farming them that way, but I'm not sure I have the patience for it.
When there's a reward attached to it, it shouldn't be one that just "happens when it happens". There really is no reason the trophies should be so rare that people who've been playing for years and have thousands of hours still have dozens of them that haven't dropped a single time.Oh, you mean the drop rate on the trophies themselves. Sorry, I misunderstood.
Yes, I still have not gotten all of them despite playing almost every day since 2016. This is one of those achievements that just happens when it happens.
Some trophies do seem to be more common than others.

I would trade someone my trophy completion for their PVP rank completion, since those are the dyes I don't think I'll ever manage to get. I'd do the monster trophies over 3 more times instead of grind 64m AP or whatever the amount is.

i think the dye that most people want from pvp is the legate black, which i think is rank 39 (still takes a long time to get there)
61 mil AP is grand overlord (i dont remember if a dye comes with that one), but the scaling to get there really needs to get looked at, rank 34 is only like 25% of the total AP required to get there (2/3 finished with ranks, but only 1/4 of the needed AP)
