What is the range on the Ring of Mara?

Was just wondering what the range was on the Ring of Mara? I like to grind exp in public dungeons with my friend, but how close do we have to be to get the exp bonus?

Ive read/heard conflicting answers; some say just being grouped, some say grouped and same zone and others say grouped/zone/and within proximity range (chars name lit up in grp box)

Can someone please confirm the exact mechanics of the Ring of Mara. Thanks in advance.

You have to be in the range where you share XP. If you look at your group bar, if the other person's bar gets darker they are too far.

I think of it as "healing range", since I'm usually the healer. If you are out of healing range, you are dead to me.

Good question. I have no idea. You may be able to test it yourself by, say, going to The Rift and killing mammoths one at a time from various ranges.

You will get xp from group kills and share quest updates quite some distance from others as in closer to 100 than 28.
Had one guild mate getting an Bolgrul quest complete being afk at the delve entrance
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.
