When is the next Crown sale?

Hey there!

Title.

When can we expect the next Crown sale? I’m pretty out of the loop and don’t know when they usually happen, maybe someone can update me?

Will there be a sale soonish or did I just miss a sale?

There are a couple of possible answers here.

If we go by actual history, crown sales are usually in April, August and December.

If we go by community experience, crown sales will take place directly after you buy a bunch of crowns at regular price

We just had one a month ago at the very end of December and beginning of January, doubt they'll have another one anytime soon, maybe during the Anniversary.

Yes, and with the release of the new Chapter... they won't offer any Crown sales before that... and probably a couple months after. So July/August sounds about right.

As Vulsahdaal wrote above, usually there are crown sales in December during the New Life festival, in April for the anniversary festival and in August, most likely also during an event. The chapter release has nothing whatsoever to do with crown sales. Chapters can't be bought by crowns anyway, so they are completely unrelated.

That's not the point. ZOS doesn't do sales when they expect a bunch of new people coming to the game, or absent players returning, as they want them to spend as much money as possible. I've never seen them do a sale just before a new launch or for a couple months afterward for this exact reason.

They do one in April for the anniversary event and it's tax return season.

August because they like to sometimes match it up with quakecon.

December is holiday season so.. they want you to spend


Keep in mind that there is no guarantee of a sale.

Not that I care right now. ZOS is nuking my characters history so I have 0 incentive to give them any IRL funds anymore.
