Buff the Balance spell please..

Balance is a morph of the last mages guild skill before the ult..
It grants an armor buff exactly like the one every class has but without any utility and with an extremely unnecessary drawback
It would be cool if they removed the debuff and increased the duration
because most class skills with the same buff have some sort of utility and it doesnt so its utility could be that it lasts significantly longer before needing to be recast??

    I just thought it was a really nice looking skill and wanted to feel better running it on literally anything

    Equilibrium trades health for magicka. It's basically unique.

    The Major Resolve piece you could source other ways. Balance sees a lot of use by tanks who continually need magicka and Major Resolve.

    i guess you might have bad sustain and use something other than magicka potions or a source of magickasteal

    The drawbacks do seem very unnecessary, even if looking at the base ability and its morphs from a Tank perspective. Equilibrium is one of the few abilities that seems to hurt the player more than it helps. I'd personally see them removed, but at the very least cut the healing reduction down to 20% and get rid of the shield reduction.

    A few interesting changes I might like to see would also be to move the cost reduction as a secondary bonus to the base skill. Then, have Spell Symmetry provide Major Sorcery/Brutality (moved from Entropy and morphs) for 30 seconds while Balance provides Major Resolve for 30 seconds. So, ideally:

    - Equilibirum:
    - Costs 6000 Health
    - Restores 3000 Magicka & reduces cost of next Magicka ability by 33% for 5 seconds
    - - - Balance (Morph)
    - - - - Also grants Major Resolve for 30 seconds
    - - - Spell Symmetry (Morph)
    - - - - Also grants Major Sorcery and Brutality for 30 seconds

    Degeneration (Entropy morph) could be compensated by restoring the "Magicka return on enemies hit while active" secondary effect that was unceremoniously and unjustly removed in Dragonhold. Entropy would also need a secondary effect of its own because just the DoT is, well, boring. But that's for another thread.

    Lightning form is dope, but it would be nice to see my damn end game fashion and use balance without killing myself in pvp.

    How about making it trade health for stamina, why should sorcs have the only skill that can give you a burst of stamina. They already have bolt escape and pets for a class defining skills.

    Um... They arent.

    Templars have repentance for burst of stamina (plus Restoring focus and Restoring spirt passive for extra sustain

    DKs have Helping Hands passive, easy to spam something like Obsidian Shield to regen stamina.

    Every other class has a stamina sustain tools:

    Nightblades have Leeching Strikes, executioner passive, refreshing shadows passive.

    Wardens have Bull Netch, Flourish Passive, Enchanted Growth, Natures growth passives

    Necros have Expunge and Modify, Undead Confederate passive, Mortal Coil, Death Gleaning Passive

    Sorcs have a skill with a cast time, and two passives, one for stam cost reduction and one for regen. I wont say sorc lacks sustain tools, but their main one is interuptable in PVP and hard to work into a rotation in PVE. Sounds like you want a better version of dark deal given to everyone.

    Balance is great as it is, what. The debuff is nothing. It's basically free magicka sustain and armor if you have any healing coming in.

    Not great as is, the other major resolve abilities grant 2-4 buffs at the cost of a resource. Balance offers major resolve and mag with a big debug at the cost of the health. Funny because that is literally not balance.
