The changed CP system

Is it just me or has the new CP system they introduced make all players weaker? You now require lots of points just to get all the buffs from a single star which means you now need to be a way higher CP level. It seems to me that for the people who aren’t CP 1000+, this was just a massive downgrade. It does look like the newer system benefits the higher CP players as there are some new/better buffs now.

You are not alone in your belief that people are weaker now. I think they were trying to bring the top people down some but all they did was widen the gap between low and top-end players. I hate the new cp system.

I love the new CP system. It is way easier to figure out which points I need for how I play.

My only complaint is that there needs to be way more passives and way less slottables.

There are certainly some very questionable choices in there, particularly in the green tree.

For example, the perk to speed up the stupid harvesting animations has to be slotted. So why would anyone ever use it when there are more important things you need? So instead every player who isn't running a specialised farming character has to put up with those stupid animations, no matter how long they've been playing the game.

Almost every skill in that tree should have been a passive that didn't need to be slotted and that was how they were before. Those skills are not really about gameplay/combat balance, they're solely about toning down the grindiest elements of the game. In other words, they used to stop the game from becoming completely unfun to play when you had to do "housekeeping" matters.

It definitely does require you to be at least at a certain amount of CP to get to the equivalent "level" of CP 1.0.
However, the way it benefits players over, say, 1700 CP is mostly by not having to respec everytime you need to change a single ability.

I do think that they butchered the system quite bad when it comes to the green tree though. It almost feels like they just had to make some of the abilities slottable because the other two trees did, and somehow that resulted in the micromanaging nightmare we have now. I genuinely think 90% of the green tree could easily be non-slottables. They are mostly QoL benefits anyways.

I like the base stat boost we got with the change.
But don't like the new structure at all the old way was more user friendly for sure.
