There are polls out at the moment, however most of the votes were cast before PTS was and we could see how the changes are implemented. This is to address that issue, with some extra nuance added to responses to better gauge where the community is at.

✭I like the concept of account-wide achievements, but it's current iteration on the PTS isn't good, in my opinion. The "Earned" character is whatever you first logged in with who has the achievement, whether it's actually the first character to have earned it or not. There should still be a way to track all your characters' progress on achievements, or not at all. It seems arbitrary at the moment. At the very least, it should look at the date and determine based on whichever character actually earned it first.
Ideally it would track all characters.

✭✭This is going to further kill the already withering away raiding community. No one is going to go back to do another trifecta run when you can just slap a title on your level 3 warden healer that you've never played in your life.
Its also going to hurt new progression groups that would have a couple of experienced raiders join in to help because they have practically nothing to gain out of it now.
But I guess as the game ages, its time to put in such things so eventually its easier to pull the plug."Knee-jerk reactionist."

✭✭I mean I know from the countless threads on this that many want account wide achievements. To each their own. It doesn't bother me really but it is a big change...
To me I feel a title is just that a title....
A little statement made to others who care, lol, that you've conquered vMA or worked your butt off for that trifecta in a trial. Many cheese these, yes, we know, but MANY more of us do prog hard for these little or big however you look at it achievements. They show a validating statement of sorts. I do love trying out new alts & builds to further collect these titles/achievements but with update 33 I feel it really diminishes my ambition. I vow to continue doing what I've always been doing regardless if I can equip a already earned title on a different character!
All in all I'm not going to whine about it and it is what it is. We will all move on but it does seem a little odd I'll have a full account of IR's, GH's, Master Anglers, etc...1
