How to store Tel var stones?

I'm trying to save up 250k Tel var stones to purchase one of the Xixyn polymorphs, and I'm playing it safe by just running the EP sewer circuit in IC (I suck at PvP). Inevitably, however, there's an occasional ganker from another faction lurking even in the "safe" part near the base. Is it possible to bank Tel var stones, the same way you would with gold, so as to lower the risk of losing half your loot upon death? I clicked "deposit currency", but the only option that shows is gold.

Yes. In the bank interface, click Deposit, then click the tiny dropdown arrow to the right, select the blue Tel Var option from the dropdown, deposit like you do gold.

Absolutely. If you are depositing currency there's a small drop down arrow to change the currency type. Tel var, ap, and writ vouchers can all be banked. I'm not sure how it will work on the controller interface because I only play mouse /kb if that's what you use, though. It's very easy to not see that arrow.

FYI: you can buy the Sigil of Imperial Retreat at the General Tel Var general merchant, on the sewers base. It costs 10k AP and teleports you back to your base. It's very useful if you are far away from your base and carrying a great amount of Tel Var.

Yep. Been there done that! I was nearly a year into the game before a kind person explained it to me.

Or just crouch and queue for a dead campaign in cyrodiil

That's also a valid/fast way out of IC and the sewers. Thanks for adding that info.

its actually generally more cost efficient to just buy the "superb imperial reward" boxes as those actually have a chance to get the polymorphs (they are granted directly instead of a runebox and you cannot get duplicates of the polymorphs)

doing that method took me approx 90k tel var to get all 3 polymorphs (the amount spent will vary as there is a bit of RNG, but the drop rate is not that bad)

the superb imperial reward costs 1500 tel var each, so it took me about 60 of those to get all 3 polymorphs, but as with everything RNG, your luck may vary (you could do better or worse than me, but its highly likely you would get all 3 before spending 250k needed on a runebox)

This is very helpful, and less depressing than the prospect of farming to 250k. Thanks!

If you wait until ic event i believe the chance of getting a poly from the loot boxes is doubled. However you cant get sellable runeboxes this way

Best way to get stones is get on when it's quiet, capture all districts (TV bonus) the in PvE DPS set just solo all the bosses. If you carry 10k for the 4x multiplier that's 14k per boss IIRC.

A loop of all 6 really doesn't take long. Granted if folks join in you get half or ganker gets you. Just aim for low pop times

I'm glad you asked this, because banking your Tel Var is something that a lot of players don't know how to do, and those who do know tend to forget to explain how. It probably took longer than a year of playing the game before I realized by accident how to do it. :)

It's cheaper just to port to a dead Cyrodiil campaign and port back to IC, you'll appear in your base with no risk of being ganked.

I use Scootworks Bank Savings. You can set how much currency you want to carry. As soon as you interact with your banker it automaticly deposits or withdraws currency.

Yes, got over 10 k tel var from some trying to gank me in IC during last year event :)
It was an nightblade on an sneak build soloing the quests for days I could not do IC on pvp build.

the sigil has a interruptible teleport animation, so getting attacked will interrupt it (similar to if you tried to port to a wayshrine, the sigil is not consumed unless the teleport is successfull)

you can also sometimes randomly find the sigils in the "fake" treasure chests (the ones that spawn waves of adds before letting you open the chest)

porting to cyrodiil can be done even while in combat though (but you have to queue for a campaign that doesnt have a queue time to get out quicker)

i dont think i use the same currency manager, but this definitely makes it a ton easier, i just use it to deposit 100% of my tel var when i visit the bank so i can quick drop it when i get into base

i always start out with 0 carried, because then anything i find is a net gain, im not really losing anything because i started my adventures with nothing so even if i die (accidentally while trying to solo a boss, or from pvp) im still gaining something to deposit in the base
